Is It Possible To Pay With Negative Balance?

Recommended Posts

This is a rather silly but also urgent doubt. I need to purchase a particular domain using myCENTs and I need to get it soon because I am aware that another member at the Xisto forums is also trying to get it. The problem is that I purchased another domain just today so my account balance has come down to $2.68, so it will take at least 20 days for me to reach the required amount to pay for my domain (my target has a .in TLD)

My doubt is that is it possible to purchase the domain with hosting right now? I know the invoice will show negative balance, but I can guarantee that I will get the required amount within 20 days, because I am earning $1 per day on an average with myCENTs, so I will be paying $1 everyday in the invoice, reducing the negative balance. I hope I am getting my point through. Could someone kindly tell me if this is possible? I really need to get that domain very soon!

Well, I've never paid with a negative balance before, but I'm sure after a certain number of days that you do not complete paying the invoice, the order is cancelled and you get your myCENTS back.

But that's only happened to me with hosting. I dont know about domains, though.

I'm pretty sure you can't buy a domain without having the funds available. That would be like going to the store and asking if you can have X item without any money (not credit card, just "trust me, I'll bring back the cash")I could be wrong on that, but especially regarding domains I doubt it's possible. With domains Trap would have to pay to do the registration, so if you were to back out they would be left with a registered domain with no use for it.Just make a deposit, :(.

HECK NO! you need to be posting like everyone else. not asking favors just for you. if you are so worried about a omain name, borrow $10 and save your credits for the hosting. you already have enough actually....

i also have a problem when two people want the same domain. one person had the original thought and made the mistake of telling someone else just so someone else can steal it. this whole thread seems fishy to me

this whole thread seems fishy to me

well i was only asking a doubt im not running away anywhere after registering :(

anyway, thanks for the replies guys. If it had been a .com TLD then I could have managed to get the $10 from somewhere else but my TLD is gonna cost me $19 which no one is gonna lend me immediately. So I guess I just have to keep my fingers crossed and hope that my competitor's fingers are a little uncrossed  I just have another doubt; I hope it gets cleared in this thread itself.....

I'm using the Logic hosting plan ($1.95 per month). I'm not very sure about it, but does the package allow to host 2 domains ? If yes, that would save me some money with hosting coz I already have 2 domains with trap and m now competing to get another. So if they all can be hosted with the same plan that would save a lot of money. I think it's not possible with the Logic plan....any other plan perhaps? Please answer this doubt too before someone else thinks this is fishy or crawly or something else! :excl:

Your allowed to have up to 5 add on domains and 5 parked domains in your account if you have the default logic plan, of course you can add more to your account if you wish.

As harrison858 said, you can buy the domain first and pay after you get your mycent. At least this will prevent others from buying the same domain from xisto. (I think :( )

five is more than enough :( thanks for clearing up my doubt that should save me a lot on hosting. Now I just need to collect $20 as soon as possible while taking care not to spam here...wow that's a challenge! :excl: but i think i can manage it fine. i just hope and hope again that my competitor doesn't reach there before me. we're friends actually but in matters like these best friends become best enemies!

to tell the truth, if i had the capacity of paying at least $10 online by myself, I wouldn't be in these forums :excl: and all my friends are in the same situation as i am, so no help from them either!

I mean, you can place an order to xisto first. Xisto will wait untill your balance is enough to pay your order. By doing these, others (your friends who also here) won't be able to buy the domain because the domain is already ordered

can we do that? that would be like reserving a domain, isn't it? well if that works it would be wonderful. I'll send a support ticket right away and report back here what happens. Thanks for the suggestions all of you :(

I don't know wether this will work or not, but at least you can try this way. But the order will be canceled if you don't pay for several days (let say, about 1-2 weeks maybe,.. ask Xisto about this).

And don't forget to post here, whether this trick works or not :( Hope you can buy your domain pal

Well I got a surprising answer from the support team and it's in my favour - I'll give you more details tomorrow, after registering my domain! Yes, that's right; the reply has enabled me to register my .in domain tomorrow itself! I'm not giving more details here lest my competitor-friend takes benefit of it as well :( but I'm really happy that I'm going to win the race at last (unless my friend posts all night and reaches there first, which is very unlikely!)I'm putting it as an add-on domain so it's a big saving for me. Oh I'm loving Xisto more and more with each passing day - it's been so helpful for me :excl:

It's not a trick actually, it's pretty straightforward and you can do it too, although it's for a limited time only and you need to contact the support team immediately after you do it, or you'll temporarily lost a lot of myCENTs (they'll restore it of course!) Anyway, I'm looking forward to tomorrow coming sooooooooooooon!

Nope, you be paying for the domain the moment you place order and then its approved by the admin.

Well the best way to post is nice long quality posts, that way you can earn more through one post instead not earning much through several posts. Well instead of trying to compete with each other, join forces as you can do a lot more with a website with a group of people then going solo on a web project.

Like I mentioned earlier, you be making your first payment the moment you place your order, besides many many people frown on others reserving domains and not using them whatsoever.

Refer to my above statement.

Surprise they actually let you do that because people frown on others reserving domains and then not using them later and making sure others can't use it as well.
