Whats Your Favorate Map? thinking of starting a server.

Im thinking of starting up a css (Counter-Strike: Source) server but I need some ideas on what maps / game types people like. Also im thinking on trying to make my own maps, any ideas for some maps?

what's a map? Is it some kind of server programming language??

Maps are files that hold code. The code tells the engine what to do. So like a map file would have all the locations of the shops, walls ground sky box, ramps doors glass, and all the effects like lighting and fog.

 

The server is a source server, made by steam.

maps are the 'level' files thats all. My favorite CAL map is probably dust2, i also like assault and cpl_mill fo sho!definitely make a server we could have a Xisto clan!good luck!

My favourite maps in CS are de_dust and de_dust2 , i like these maps and i play more in these maps

Other Zombie maps

Quite a few are maps I'd do matches on. de_dust 2 is a good PCW map. Though I don't like big maps. The download takes forever.
