nflblitz 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 Vikings rookie WR Harvin will miss minicamp because of severe dehydration Minnesota Vikings first-round draft pick Percy Harvin is in an Atlanta hospital because of severe dehydration and will not participate in the team's weekend rookie minicamp.According to Vikings coach Brad Childress, the former University of Florida wide receiver was feeling ill Thursday and vomited on a flight from Florida to Atlanta. Instead of continuing to the Twin Cities to participate in the team's rookie minicamp, Harvin was taken to an Atlanta hospital.Doctors ruled out swine flu, but high alert for the virus had paramedics hustling to treat Harvin once the plane landed. After a rigorous travel schedule around the country in the weeks leading up to the NFL draft and a hard workout Wednesday, Harvin began to feel sick."I just think the grind had caught up with him," Childress said, adding: "It's an unfortunate circumstance, but it is what it is."Doctors weren't satisfied enough with Harvin's condition Friday to release him yet, so he was expected to remain in the hospital for another day or two. The Vikings selected Harvin with the 22nd overall pick in last weekend's draft
