Nfs: Undercover some details

Recommended Posts

In what proved to be an incredibly newsworthy investors meeting EA boss John Riccitiello has unveiled details of the next Need for Speed game.Related

Riccitiello seems confident Need for Speed Undercover, for that be its name, will be "a much better game" than a certain previous instalment in the series, thanks in part to a much richer storyline. He also won understatement of the day when he admitted last years Pro Street wasn't perhaps as good as it could have been.

"I thought it was an okay game, in terms of gameplay. It's not good,"

"But who wanted Pro Street? It was a sort of made up, put numbers on the side of your car and pretend to drive your Ferrari where? Or your Porsche where?"

Perhaps even more interesting Riccitiello also confessed to "torturing" developers on previous Need for Speed games by working them on a 12 month development cycle for eight years in a row before bosses finally took pity on them last year.

"Last summer we added head count and split the team in two, so now there are two teams on a 24 month cycle. We were torturing a very talented group of people up in Vancouver, which makes it harder to be as innovative every year. So, I think we are going to get better from here."

Looking forward to this release as i thought pro street was crap! I would definitely get it if it came out only thing is it may not come out in ps2 and my ps2 is wrecked!

Definitely looking forward to this game, especially if its going back to its Need For Speed Most Wanted roots, and I was pretty disappointed in the last two games. It is funny though I came across this by accident as I didn't see to much news about the game in PSM especially when the game is just a month a way and what not.

It's about time EA-Games change the major features of Need For Speed games. All of them are usually races. But I can't believe my eyes - in this one you get to be a cop?! Looks like this game will be a success.

Not aware of any registration code, but of course I finish this game about a month or so ago and I have to say I was some what disappointed in this game, it lacked quality and even thought it was like Most Wanted, it was definitely not like Most Wanted. Heck I didn't have to complete all the races to the beat this game and the only thing challenging was getting chased by the cops because once you get the best car in the game (Bugatti Veyron), the races were easy once you know how to drive that car.

Oh man this game disappointed me so much. Most wanted is 10 times better and fun. I don't like the chaises the cops are really stupid and in a good car it's really easy. Also u don't have those side missions like in most wanted where u ride an ice cream truck and stuff like that. The only thing that i liked was the mission in which u have to steal cars, and don't wreck them, those are a little more challenging.
