I have never heard of this song. When did it come out? Is it popular? I mean most songs that are in top 10 are mostly rap songs or something similar to that. Not much pop or hip hop or country something like that. You see it sometimes like 1 every month on top ten but not alot.

Californication was the title track off of the Red Hot Chili Peppers album Californication. Californication was realeased in 1999. It was a great album and had several successful singles. All of the band members (Anthony Kiedis, Michael "Flea" Balzary, John Frusciante, and Chad Smith) are amazing musicians as they are often voted as some of the greatest musicians.

 

I've found that a lot of the "better" music doesn't actually get into the top ten very often.
