Yep someone else posted this little scam on here awhile back, and if I remember correctly what I mentioned in that topic. I told the guy to select the email and click on spam because that is all that is and most likely try to get your identity and other stuff like that and ruin your life.

I would reply to that and maybe have some fun with it, but frankly there's a website that pokes fun with these "Nigerian Scam Artists", it's very funny. Here's on of them:

http://www.scamorama.com/

I wish I could've found the other, but it shouldn't be that hard to search. You'd be surprised to see how much of a brain most of these scam artists actually have ;)

I don't quite understand how that is considered as a "scam"....They never asked for any items or for anything at all really....Or does something else come from replying to them?I have had a LOT of emails on craigslist offering $10k for like a $100 item and saying "... ... Take your $100 and $200 for helping me and then send the other $9700 to my partner at ..."Quite entertaining too. I just find it sad that they find people who actually do it.. I mean they would be losing money by sending out all of these checks if people weren't actually doing it. Just kind of shows how gullible some people really are.

Scam- a confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, esp. for making a quick profit; swindle.

It's a scam, because that's exactly what this person is trying to do. She'll try to gain your confidence by telling you she's has millions in assets, that she needs to be transferred to your back account so she can come to America.

It's so funny how common these scams are occurring. I cannot tell you how many times my inbox is filled with emails similar to this. You'd think by now these people would've learned to use a spell checker and to capitalize first words of each sentence ;)

Who do these people think they are messaging. Im pretty sure that nearly every single person to access this forum, was not born yesterday. No - I wouldnt reply to it, It might be waiting for a reply, so it can verify your email address, and add it to a mailing list - possibly viruses.

What type of a scam is it? One where they sign you up to stacks of porn sites or something? Gmail can really detect spam messages for me, else wise if not i can ;)

I got stacks of these through ebay... The moment i saw the message was signed off by someone in Nigeria i would instantly delete it. One time i actually spent the time to read the entire message, they clearly stated that they either wanted it shipped to a friend of theirs in Nigeria for a birthday present or as a gift delivered to themselves in Nigeria. It makes you wonder whether they are actually Nigerian, as they can speak english like it were the first language they ever learned.
