Prophet.K 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2008 Byethost is an okay host, but then it got worse! They took out their fantistico program. The size is so small and it takes along time go get into the ftp and everything, but one u install everything you need, it can run perfect. The servers have maintance and sometimes you can't even get your account back!I give like a 7/
Reyes 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2008 I had an account at them and I really warsn't impressed by their host .

Erdemir 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 Byethost is not good enough. Because on free hosting there is no cronjob and no fsockopen() function. And my website on byethost is frequently redirecting to another blog sites because of maintenance they say.
joeblogg 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2008 byethost is all right but its not great. i would rather something cheaper than that like Xisto(which is free) or freehostia which is $10 a year. that is nothing for a whole year of hosting for $10. a lot of these hosting services are becoming trash. they are making things more expensive and taking away some good features. but there are still good hosts out there like Xisto. iGuest 3 Report post Posted July 2, 2009 This place sucks. I setup a wordpress blog on it. Get a few links and get it indexed. Now every link on my front page just redirects to some crappy spam page full of porn adds.. Screw these guys -reply by Byethost sucks
csadeniz 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2009 I think byethost is not so bad. The only bad thing is their sites are so slow. This is my site with byet host. http://yemektarifleri1.net/ You can see how slow it is. If you want to be in a good position in search engines your site must be fast. akashi 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2009 You used too much graphical things (pics, javascript to load images etc). Try to reduce it or host your pictures at another site, maybe that'll help. You can also check your sql usage. Maybe some of them is slow. Â I think byethost is not so bad. The only bad thing is their sites are so slow. SpiderVV 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2009 I used it and it wasn't worth it. If you ever use an upload program, like a mod for IPB, you can't and the site is so slow that I actually just left my account. I'd never recommend anyone Byethost. About FTP, from two/two weeks, I couldn't get in because it didn't even connect.

SpiderVV 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2009 It wasn't. It was still slow and some stuff wouldn't just load properly, I'm sorry but I didn't like it.

alexthemans 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2009 Byethost is fast enough for me but is inconsistent. Sometimes I cannot connect to the host via web or ftp for 1-2minutes, at least 5 times a day. I really hope this problem is not persistent. In addition, even though its maxmium capacity is 5GB, but the maximum db size is 50MB...damn small.
shova 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2009 agree.at first it offers good service.but as more people use it. it becomes worse.wish Xisto will not be worse.
