Speed Test Results For Free Web Hosting Services A comparison of Benchmark tests

The graph says it all.

Xisto placed 5th out of 28 Free Web Hosts in a Benchmark test performed in 2006. Not too shabby...

For comparison, I set up the same benchmark on my Laptop and the Xisto results were better by half the average of the test results. My Laptop would have placed around 23rd on that original test, if those results are still valid as posted. There is a WoW! factor when a Hosting service can beat a local single user test. Mind you, there is now data transmission involved, only the results are sent across the web, so as fast as my machine is, the Trap is faster... and this test was only one process for the Server. Mine was the only thing being done on my machine at the time the test ran. Another WoW!

I will tell you the inside Story. Most web hosting companies maintain the average load of server at 10.00. At Xisto, We target 1.0. :-) Thereby, We proudly say that we do NOT oversell I am glad that you ran this test and bought the result out :-) I am sure, all members who have a doubt about our free hosting quality will reconsider us.I will agree that our hosting system is not that great or our free hosting registration steps are a bit hectic and require some patience and understanding. That is a great result! However, speed is not the only thing that makes a host good. I think that the best thing about Xisto is that things just work! You never have to worry that things won't work as long as you post at these forums!

Well although that data is 2 years old and especially since 2005-06 were the rough years of trap I would say it was impressive, of course I uploaded that script and tested it out on my account and the lowest score I got was 42 for the benchmark with a spike of 127ms, but since I don't have accounts for those other hosts I don't know if it is bad or good thing. However, compared to the data of 2 years ago trap has slowed down a little bit, regardless though Xisto is still number one.
