Fabrik Component For Joomla <br />

Recommended Posts

Have anyone successfully made a site applications with fabrik component for Joomla? - http://www.fabrikar.com/index.php
The reason why I downloaded fabrik in first place was to make a computer service status for my website (localhost)
But when I'm running the application, fully inplenting the options for service tags, i get the error message:

Notice: Undefined variable: _VERSION in C:\wamp\www\components\com_fabrik\fabrik.html.php on line 26

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in C:\wamp\www\components\com_fabrik\fabrik.html.php on line 26

Notice: Undefined variable: mosConfig_absolute_path in C:\wamp\www\components\com_fabrik\fabrik_elements.class.php on line 436

Well i have done my homework and google for the reason why it keep yelling, but all i can find is that I have to buy a subscription for getting the manual and support. Well, I like to contribute, but I find it hard to buy a subscription to support a group when I dont see if its gonna help me in the end.

I'm having problems with fabrik too. I dont know what the problem is but I have followed the installation steps outlined here for joomla 1.5.8 and fabrik 2.0rc1

http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

the problem it seems at first when trying to install it was permissions. I had to set folders to 777 and it was not even mentioned in the installation steps. Why do they leave these things out? By default my joomla installation seems perfectly fine but had trouble adding fabrik in without setting permissions to certain folders. I am using xampp so maybe that is the issue?

It would not even install fully either as I have attached a screenshot. When I try to view its form i get errors. What is up with lack of information on joomla and fabrik for new people.

I had no issue istalling and running Fabrik the first time using XAMP and Godaddy Server with Joomla Site. There was a warning about file permission on the Flash Tutorials... http://fabrikar.com/help/tutorials
