I saw that. Good news for all iPhone owners and a good move for apple. Steve Jobs got a lot fo emails after the price cut was announced so he decided to give them all $100.

That's so stupid.It's not like Apple's refunding money on defective or dangerous products. It's not like they were found guilty of price-gouging or anything like that, either.Rather, a bunch of consumers started whining because they found out that they bought their iPhones too soon. They HAD to be the first in their neighborhoods to have one, so they coughed up the original selling price. And now they're whining because, gee, they could have waited just a few short months and saved a couple of hundred bucks.

I agree 100%. It's the technology era, if you want the latest then you literally have to pay for the latest.

Take the PS3 or XBox as an example. People who bought them right away spent on average $150 more than people who waited a year; they paid a premium to be on the leading edge...

Apples move is really just a small safeguard against any idiot who would attempt file some type of lawsuit. Like FolkRockFan, I also think that getting the iPhone the first day was very bad investment. Besides the price drops, the people who first bought the iPhone have to face with defects that accompanies many new electronics(PS3,Xbox had problems in the first units sold).The best thing to do is just wait until the iPhone is 6 months to a year old, when the 2nd Generation of Stable iPhones come out, then that would be the time to buy.

Well like you guys said,it's their problem,since they wanted to be one of the cool people and get the iphone totally the second it came out then they got what they deserved,but this thing does not only happen with the iphone,it happens with all kinds of technology,like nokia phones laptops and cameras,so i dont think apple should give them a refund
