Casino.Royale 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2007 I'm not sure exactly what I should title this but that sounds about right for what they did. Last year a substitue teacher took a few seniors and juniors to go to an assembly line and see how it works and stuff and I never got to go so I figured I'd just go this year. Well the trip was yesterday and I was stuck at school, instead that damn substitute teacher took just about all the same people she took last year. I wouldn't mind it if the people that went were actually plannign on going to a job with an assembly line but instead 90% of them are planning on going to college if not they are already accepted to college.I don't plan and never planned on going to college after school but rather a job working at an assembly line. Did I get taken to see what it was like though? Hell no, all the others did just because she likes them more because they are popular and cool to be around. I was really pissed off when I heard I wasn't going to go.Not much I can do now I guess except get over it, or go on my own for a trip.
Smack 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2007 Hm? I don't quite understand you, I mean your reasoning is right. But the teacher chose who she took? I figured the whole class must go? Usually the only ones that are forced to stay are those who have failed or gotten into trouble and maybe are on in-school-suspension.If she just chose who she wanted to go that wasn't fair and if I were you I'd submit a calm, professional, typed complaint to the administrator of the ISD - or maybe go to the principal first. Casino.Royale 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2007 There wasn't enough room for her to take the everyone in the classes, not even to take one full class. Only a certain ammount were allowed to go and she chose those who went. Meh, I don't get along with the principal or superintendent at the school very well and they wouldn't do anything. I believe this has been brought up before.
Smack 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2007 Oh, that sucks.. I'm suprised they even went through with the trip since they couldn't take the whole class. Wonder why they didn't just try to get more buses or vans. If it was at my old highschool we would of done one of those things, teachers are required to plan these trips and if it isn't planned well the trip gets denied. Casino.Royale 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2007 Since I think 6 other schools went as well that each school could only bring 7 students with or something. I'm sure if they could have taken more they would have taken all the students but I guess the school wanted a few to go still even though the rest couldn't. Oh wells, I'm finally not as mad as I was earlier about it.
SNiped 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2007 Sound's like a case of favouritism, Dont worry it happens over here in the UK, I never seem to be on the list's to go on thing's.Just last week we all got letter to go on a theme park trip, First come first serve basis. My Money and consent form came in next day. Just today i find out all of the teacher's favourite students got a place, but many of those she had argued with did not. Unfortuantley i was in the latter.
