Sweet And Tangy Meatballs My version of this recipe

Recommended Posts

I notice that the cooking topic has nothing in it to cook so let me be the first. It just a quick and easy little dish I had this last night.

Sweet and Tangy Meatballs

The Meatballs

1 lb ground turkey (you could use beef, chicken, lamb or pork)

1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce

1 egg

1/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 shallot, minced

1/2 to 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

1/2 to 1 teaspoon pepper (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon of olive oil

Add olive oil to large frying pan

Combine all of the other items

Form into 1 in balls

Brown on all sides

Add the following sauce.

Stir until sauce is bubbling

The Sauce

1/2 cup orange juice

1/4 cup worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons of each honey and brown sugar

1/2 inch fresh gingerroot, grated

1 teaspoon cornstarch

Serves 4

I served it with a salad but vermicelli noodles would be good also.

Now it is your turn to share :P
