I wouldn't mind learn German since I am half German, but yeah german is a tricky language to learn as the letters are pronounce differently in each word, and they also have a lot silent letters in most words as well.

I don't know this German language. But my uncle knows this language. I have seen them while speaking with their colleagues. I want also to learn this language. In my vacation I try to learn different different languages. Once you know this German language, you will get more benefit from job aspects.

I have learnt German language for a year many years ago. It was hard for me as it had a lot of rules. I was told that once you know enough of the language or become familiar with the rules, it will be easy as all you need to do is to go by the rules. Anyway, I put a year into it, but found limited use of it later on. Many years later, I went to Europe. My trip was fairly easy in the UK as I could understand almost everything. Being in France was the most difficult. I didn't understand the signs and a lot of people wouldn't give me directions in Englist. It wasn't so bad to be in Germany though as I discovered that my limited residual knowlegdge of the German language did help somewhat. I could pronouce words in the signs. I could even recall the meanings of some of the words based on where they are posted. So, it was useful.

German in my opinion is a very odd language, I know a few people who moved over here from Germany, and they tried teaching me German, but it is very difficult when English is your primary language.. When I found out bus was pronounced bas, I kinda gave up, when it's hard to say things different then how you say already.. So yeah, me and foreign languages don't mix very well :/
