gameratheart 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2006 When I first read this, I couldn't believe it. There was no news on a 2.2 build ever even being on Beta! But I checked the Invsion Power Services website and it is true. I find it coincidential, however, that this was released less than a week after Simple Machines LLC, released the gold version of SMF 1.1...I just can't help but wonder how much this'll annoy OpaQue. Not only will he have to waste time upgrading again, but also considering that half the software is now encrypted, I have no doubt that the whole structure of IPB will be changed and most mods will now stop working. And then OpaQue will be up countless nights getting credits to work again...
Saint_Michael 3 Report post Posted December 6, 2006 Beta's been out for a few month's, had the pleasure of testing it out and the set up to it is sweet. I like the new profile set up, it makes it more interactive and in a way cut down on the number that would be need to make them more fun. From looking at invisionize.com most of the major mods have been update while the beta as still out. Although I highly doubt to much of the credit mod will need to be change. Most likely the updates would be made through how the credit mod handles the posts. It's some really great peice of software, I love like everything about it, and the mods even make it better...I know alot of people like PhpBB or SMF or that other thing (lol, I dunno the name) but I just don't like...any of them even remotely as much as I love IPB, I really, really love it, and it keeps getting better, just the attention to detail it has...
