My New Sites Template! ( Will Be Anothera.net ) And an Intro, Im new here XD

Recommended Posts

Hi people, I'm new in this forum so I'd like to introduce my self a bit.

Ive been designing for a hobby (self taught) for more than 3 years now, and I'm yet to go to a design college next year

I specialise in making Website templates and forum sigs.

I only know photoshop quite well, and dreamweaver. I really want to get to learn some Illustrator ^^

Anyways, here is what I've done in roughly two days on and off. I'll surely use this Xisto host, and hopefully register a domain at AnotherA.net ^^

Enjoy, and I would appreciate some intellegent advice / critique, ty.

The template looks very good. I guess the pink color goes with the theme of the site right or is it a universal color? The use of tables is very good and the layout is easy to understand. You might want to add some [ictures within the tables. Within each table I think it would be good to separte each subject with bullets of some sort. You might want to specify what the black box above the main middle table is. I like the template and see if you can use other colors for different themed sites.

The template looks good, but we don't know what the site will be for  .You might want to optimize the header a little though, since it looks pretty "heavy" if you know what i mean. In my opinion, as I'm not a pink person, i would recommend you tone the saturation of the pink/purple down a little to a more softer pink/purple. It eases on the eyes a little and makes for better reading. If you want to save a little more bandwidth, try using normal text for the links instead of actual pictures.Otherwise, i think it looks great. The header's design is pretty awesome, i could never come up with designs like those. The little merge-bevel-like thing just catches my attention more readily than the whole site :( .Good luck on actually getting hosting and creating the site, hopefully we'll be able to see a live one soon.

agree with evion on that reason being is that once you begin slicing it you will have a easier time slicing the images properly when it comes time to code them. Also you the text on the conect box needs to be clearer as well. It's a bit hard to read

Ty mate. Youre right about the saturation thing, I've toned it down on the backgrounds of the contents.
I'm done coding it. I'll be hosting it when I have 30 credits, so it wont be long now ^^

Thanks. I know about the wierd font on the content bars. It adds sort of mystery and they're fun looking so I would trade that for them being a lil hard to read for sure :(

1 word ,,, SHOCKED :):),but i' ll say what u can change or what i just don't like about it ok- the color its just to THERE u know- background of it all are just gradients u could have done it with grunge brushes wich would make it cleaner and way better looking than it is right at this moment-the fonts in general aren' t matching up-dun use these sextions, like smaller boxes on the sites and big in the middle try doing some original- thats itp.s=ur signatures are amazing, why not stick with that or try adding ur signature techniques on to ur layout it might works, its always worth a tryatleast that what i thinkwell gl anywaygreetz crazy
