CHATZ RANTZ split by serverph

Recommended Posts

And we wounder why alot of people that have been on Xisto and been hosted say "oh Xisto? they a good host the only s,hit thing about it is some of the stupid rules they got,no, rather get anther host" Its true,I went through the trouble of tyeping all that info out,AND yes from a BOOK not a SIte a BOOK,and for what? For the sake of info? Ok I understand its copyright and yes I would aggree if it was only 10 lines..but come on,Ypu think tyeping that all out takes 5min??,Ather thing aswel if I might add,You guys wana have so many rules ok cool I understand but then Xisto should be a safe sever..But no,Ive heard of 5 peoples severs that have been hacked and they they were Xisto severs. This not a post against Xisto just a awareness that with alot of ppl are not that happy with these rules, and MOSTLY the ones that have been hacked.

Notice from serverph:
split by me from the original thread where CHATZ started ranting

for the sake of others, this is Chat'z PLAGIARIZED CONTENT: here.

what do you guys think? :)

and chatz, if you are not happy with the rules, is it an excuse to VIOLATE it and CHEAT the HOSTING CREDITS SYSTEM here in Xisto by not properly quoting COPIED CONTENT?

and Xisto is as safe as the member's uploaded scripts are, and how secure a member keep his/her Xisto hosting account login details. :D i may be the OLDEST active member here aside from admin opaque (check my joining date) and it is not Xisto which is the problem which i see when a member gets hacked... it's how insecure their scripts are, and how careless they are with their login details.

and i'm HAPPY with the rules. :P you are not? try PAID hosting then. :D

Trap17 isn't making you quote things because they are copyrighted. I mean they are but it's more then that. You are getting hosting credits for the work that you didn't do. Sure you typed it all up out of a book but you didn't take the time to research and put it all together. You could have summarized it and then get the hosting credits and wouldn't have gotten into trouble for that in the first place. As for the servers being hacked. I have never heard of that occuring before. I have heard of threats and attempts and failures but I haven't necessarily heard of them being hacked successfully but I may be wrong. You may have heard of sites ran on Xisto servers being hacked but that is just poor password protection on the owner of that site.

Ok I understand that its not my research etc. but what about the time it took to post that kind of amount of text? And what about going out to find the research? It all comes together.I dn't propose that people get as much hosting credits as if it as their own info but atleast a few for going out, finding the research then tyaping it all out like i have.I could of well of been with my fiance during that time but no i was contrubiting to Xisto

As to the hacking promblem, ask our dearest member wappy, hes sever was hacked recently.

Well, I'll ask you simple thing....why will hacker leave all the other sites..when he knows that he can take control over the whole server!

Server was never hacked!

Chatz, can I put my two cents in? Okay, I'll put it in anyways. So tell me, what does copied content have to do with hacked servers? The servers are an all together different issue. Ohhh, I see, that adds to the "horribleness" of Xisto. Oh, and sorry that you substitued the time you'd spend with your fiance on typing it up. BOO HOO, c'mon man, you're breaking my heart. You even have a choice to choose.

Well no where does it say you have to do that you can have a good time that was your decision. The rules state that you must quote copyrighted or any information for that matter that is available to the public. In the 5 minutes it took you to type it all out though you could have also just summarized it into your own words. Plus you can't expect the script to find what's in a book and you typed out so that it can just cut the credits in half, and it can't tell when things were copied and pasted off a web site to give them no credits. Basically you could have spent the 5 minutes summarizing instead of copying it. You knew the rules before hand so you can't say you didn't know it would happen.

Chatz, the content is not yours. You don't copy content that's not yours, that's PLAGARISM. Not only is it plagarism, it's gaining credits for something you didn't ORIGANALY write. By registering on Xisto, one of the confirmation screens had the TOS, you obviously checked "I Agree", since you're here now. So by joining you agreed to our TOS. Well, you should have agreed. By copying content that shows you DID NOT read the TOS, and you DID NOT agree to them.Violations:Breaking the TOSCopying Content that's not yours. Now I don't understand how a "server" got into this discussion. Xisto's network is very secure, for many reasons. We don't offer porn, we don't offer warez, we keep a safe envoirment. Maybe the server wasn't "hacked"? Maybe whoever got hacked simply had a bad password, an easily guessable one by someone who wanted in.The "SERVERS" are secure. The "WEBSITES" that are on the server, are secure to the limit the owner of the site sets. Bad passwords, bad security. Simple.Honestly, if you don't like Xisto's service, why do you rant about it? Just don't use it? I can't speak for OpaQue, but I think he'd rather have loyal members that love the service, and follow the rules, then members who hate the service and break the rules.

No, Im simply posting to gain credits to get hosted. Also, I LOVE speaking my mind. And thats the truth. Oh yeah, what does being hosted have to do with our argument? And now Im going to apologize Chatz, to you personally, because I know that this little conversation is going to get blown out of proportions if someone doesnt stop. :)

Like I said, chances are they didn't get hacked! If a persons password is easy enough someone can simply "guess" it. Well, if they hate the person enough.I feel people use the word "hack" because they don't know what else to call it.

There are many people out there that haven't had trouble with having an easy password will continue to use an easy password until they are hacked. Not the server, them themselves. If that person hacked the server, why didn't he take down other sites? Xisto doesn't even have 5 servers anyway. If a hacker hacks a server they are gonna take down everything they can and it wouldn't be just one account or just 5.

five servers meaning five accounts.Anyway lets take wappy for example.Hes been getting treats from this guy for a long time he just moved to Xisto surely he would change his password knowing the fact this guy was out to get him.And guess what four or five days ago he was hacked on this very server just like the other four guys. From what I heard from the hacker himself he has no interest on Xisto but he will hack evry one on Xisto that he feels like it.
