Seo Considerations Before Submitting Your Site

Recommended Posts

Before submitting your webpages you must check all the link pages thoroughly one by one. Do not forget that they should be judged not only by you and your visitors but by number of professional Web site reviewers once you submit them to Web Directories. Check them online after you check them as your local files on your computer. Spend time browsing and clicking on every link on every page. Double check if all the images are loading and how long it takes to load the pages. Use different browsers to see how compatible they are with old and new versions.Tell your friends to browse your site and give you their feedback how easy it is to navigate, how easy they understand it's content, how easy it is to find a product or how easy to order and the overall performance of your site. You should check your pages on different computer monitor resolutions. They must look good at 480X640 as much as with 600X800 resolution and even in 1024X768 resolution. Select different font sizes on your browser and make sure your page looks good with any of them. You may add a line mentioned best viewed in 1024X768 resolution.

Forget that; no-one uses that resolution anymore.

You may add a line mentioned best viewed in 1024X768 resolution.

I'd forget that too - too many people with monitors much bigger than that nowadays. Also 'best viewed' notices just illustrate that your site isn't as flexible as it should be.

Good considerations, I would add one more that maybe it's no so important in the beginnig. Check the side of each page, and more important the home page. If Your page weight more than 100k It's practically sure that Google doesn't index all the page, including inbound links, so the site could be indexed partially. You can also can try to win as much as you can external links linking to your site, so the google robot will have more vias to explore your site.

does anyone have any statistic about how many people surf the web using 680x800 compared to 1024X768 ?I pretty much build all my sites to look good in 1024X768 but just to be passable in 680x800 viewers. You should also make sure that your keywords are in your title tag and to check all your links, as having a typo in a link that leads only to a non-existaent webpage will hurt your search engine rankings and PR.You can use google sitemaps to help identify missing pages now. but its best to clear it up before google notices it.
