wariorpk 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2006 (edited) Free offers in general are the biggest scams I have ever heard of. No, I will not give you my credit card number so you can steal my idenity. How dumb do you think I am? Free Ipod for completing this survey. What is in it for you? You obviously just want my personal information for some reason or another so that you can send me junk mail, steal my personal information, or figure out my address so you can send me a bunch of junk mail that I do not want. All these free offers are stupid and should be wiped from the face of the internet. Edited June 3, 2006 by wariorpk (see edit history)
Togi 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2006 I wouldn't mind giving them 'my' email address.. like a lot of people, I have a seperate email account just for using on sites I think might spam me. Although even with my main email account, ever since I switched to Gmail, no spam has ever gotten through their filters and into my inbox.. that's one free thing worth signing up for, a Gmail account XDiPods, on the other hand...... while I imagine if you jump through all the loops and sign up for all the offers, you'll get it eventually.. it'd probably be easier to just get a job and buy one flat-out XD
glamour_trash 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 I hate those ads, but they aren't half as bad as the free smiley ads (especially the ones that talk). Also whats worse is when you try to do a personality quiz and they ask you to sign up to a site or buy something to get your results. way too much advertising these days. peo 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 Usually these ads come from spyware - Makes sure you have ad-aware or norton for protection. It was recently on the news that some old guy clicked on the ads and accidently agreed to donate loads of cash to the owner of the ad. There are some really sick ways of making money on the internet - one way is to fool noobs to <- snipped -> }}
