First Look At Tpm Chip Link to Intel MB D915GEV

Here is a link to an Intel Motherboard that has the TPM chip installed!

download the photo(right click select save picture as) save picture then open it and zoom in

scroll up to the top left side look just below the SATA 1 connector and right above the CMOS battery there is a small 28 pin chip, this is

the TPM chip. SLD9630TT1.1INFINEON ICTPM1.2SLD9630TT28TSSOP34186.

I think he meant scroll down on the page he linked to, to access this pdf.
TPM seems to be getting a lot of negative feedback in these forums. While it's true that it can be used to limit activities on your computer, it's also true that its main use (secure local encryption) is definately something that needs to exist in future generations of PCs. So please, while you're hammering on it, remember it *does* have a legitimate use too.
