No Pics Show may be another ez solution

Recommended Posts

http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ is my site. when i made it w/ one computer and viewed it the pices showed. but when i tried viewing the site on my other comp its just a bunch of x's. someone help

Hey,

Your links are pointing to your computer! That's the reason theya re not visibl;e in any other PC!

Your links are like this - file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/Jonathan/Desktop/images/e_s.gif

You should upload the files to a folder in your site, and point to them like this - /imagefolder/image.gif

Good luck!

Googlue!

search and delete any instance of this in your html file:

file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/Jonathan/Desktop/

then re-upload. also, double-check that you have **completely** uploaded ALL your images in your "images" folder under public_html.

holler back if you still need more help.

you need to have the html in your index pointing the viewer to the images on your site.. not computer.. like googlue said.. "images/image.gif" would be your best bet for people to see them, instead of "file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/Jonathan/Desktop/images/e_s.gif" if you change that then the images will become visible on more than your one computer!

still need help? PM me

i under stand but how do i do that

Well,
If you have still not solved this problem, you can read the tutorials here:
http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_images.asp

It is quite simple, you may need some time to get used to html coding, but it should be perfect soon

Good Luck

Googlue!

EDIT: I see that you have solved the linking problems... congratulations!
