Saint_Michael 3 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 I believe I made post somewhere between pages 1-5 or 5-10, but I thought give myself a fresh update and for those who might be stuck to one browser. I use Firefox as my primary browser and depending what site I go to I either swtich to version 2 or 3b5 (Firefox 3 beta 5). I also have the infamous IE8 beta version, which of course I can easily switch to IE 7 if I need to, but seldom do because I don't use IE all that much. I also have the current version of Safari, and I also have opera 9.2 and the beta version of 9.5. The reason for all these browsers is for a designers perspective, and sometimes firefox like to play mind games with me, and so I have to swtich to another browser from time to time. That is my current list of browsers and so enjoy. Erdemir 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 (edited) All the browsers have the same speed, but Internet Explorer does not render the <table> tags until it finds the </table> tag. And it is not showing you the table contents until the tag download finishes. But in Firefox and Opera all the downloaded tags are displayed even the end tags are not download. Â For example, enter a site with full of tables. It will take more time to show the table contents for Internet Explorer. But Firefox and Opera will show you while loading the page. Â So I am using Firefox 2 because you can install lots of plugins on it. For example: The addons/plugins I am using in Firefox are YSlow, YExplore, WebDeveloper, TimeStampConverter, SaveComplete, No-referrer, Modif Headers, LeechBlock, JSView, IE View, Google Web Accelerator, Gmail Space, FlashGot, Flashblock, Download Status Bar, AdBlock Plus. You can see what can these do in firefox site. And also I am using Opera 9 because it has a good option that you can disable all images by only one click and Opera can read RSS feeds. A few site says that use Internet Explorer, so I am using Internet Explorer 6 for only a few websites. disneyreporter 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 I use Internet Explorer 7, and I love it. It's a much needed improvement over Internet Explorer 6, user interface wise anyhow. I've heard people complain a lot about it, saying a lot of websites are not viewed correctly when using Internet Explorer 7. I've never had the problem and really don't understand how this issue could occur. Can anyone explain more about this and how each web browser displays website pages differently? majklisko 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2008 hey guys,u forgot that Mozilla Firefox is the second most used browser after IE. The speed is comparable with Opera and the great advantage is the coders community creating countless amount of the add-ons for everything it comes to your mind. I don't argue that Firefox is better than Opera, but it has more fansI'm not gonna talk about the pros of IE, cause u can't compare this one with the 2 others. This one is just for the users, they are happy, when they manage to turn their pc on

Erdemir 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2008 (edited) IE should be fine enough, why waste money for a faster one like opera the speed is already decent for casual use.using IE 7 No need to waste money!Opera is a freeware software and Firefox is also a freeware. The speed of all the browsers are equal, yes. But the rendering speed of Opera and Firefox is faster then IE6 and IE7. gaspe86 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2008 Well, I've tried many different browser... I've used Mozilla, Internet Explorer, Opera, Maxthon, Safari, etc... the truth is the most of the time I just use the Mozilla. I consider Mozilla to be the best browser, even though they have recently been a deception with the most recent versions... they seem to be getting worst
A200 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2008 I used to use Mozilla Firefox until Wednesday last week (11 June) when it decided to start freezing as soon as I opened it. That was the last straw, I just gave up on it. I also hate Firefox because it can be slow at times, it automatically deletes all bookmarks, everything, every 2 days. I had no idea why it does that so I left it. Now I use...*drum roll*OPERA! I installed it ages ago and had 9.26 on it, and it was much better than firefox but slower, and then I discovered that a new version is out- 9.5- and upgraded. It is AWESOME, SO FAST, SO NICE, SO SLEEK, SO FABULOUS! 1000X better than Firefox. FFx people don't know what they're missing! the only downside is FF and IE people only design sites for the browsers they use so browsers like Opera come out wierd. Opera is better than the others, but their shortsightedness means they dont design it for Opera. Its not Opera's fault. its theirs. Their loss they loose members for not keeping in mind the amount of browsers around!
