The War Of The Mp3 Player, That The Best Wins

Recommended Posts

hello all guys! as many of you have heard seen and of course listened to many of the actual mp3 players i said to myself "yeah maybe it is the time to buy my own mp3 player" so i started in amazon looking for mp3 players some of them are not very good like this one.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B08&n=507846&s=pc

If there is something i would look in a mp3 player is the space it uses and the "hd" it has, and also style, and size i mean in case my 3 year old cousin wants me to show it to her to hide it easily. So the above is not very comfortable and nor has style (at least for me).

Then i keep trying looking for an elegant and cheap player and in that search i found many as this too.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B06&s=electronics

As you can see this seems more like a GameBoy and also it seems like the first experiments in selling mp3 players.
The search seemed to be finished when i saw this player, cheap, comfortable, small and with memory not so big but enough.

But then i saw tha very famous iPod and said well maybe when i get more money. And looking very closely i saw that actually the 512 mb, 1,2 and even 4 GB are very expensive compared to the 30 and 60 GB iPod prices, something that actually makes me feel funny cos i have a 17 GB computer haha :). So i said, lets suppose that i would like to buy an iPod or something similar and i started to compare prices:
The First of all is of course the iPod nano, here it is the beautiful baby, price? $199 with 2 GB
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B08&n=507846&s=pc

Then this thing, it is 1 GB but a little big it price? $94.9:

But it was pretty odd when i saw this(the next player), my first thought was that it was the iPod but if you look closer you will see that is like the copy, just take a look at these images:

http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

and also check this site: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
you will see that actually it stores the same thing and in the same way that apples's iPod and it has the same gadgets i mean a charger, speakers, video output and perhaps more.... maybe i wait a little and meantime i support creative with its ZEN vision M hehe....kinda cool!

NOTE: plz forgive me for the links to the images but the bbcode couldnt load them

Creative's players are quite nice. My sister got one which has 512MB flash memory. Apple's Ipods look horrible to me and I wonder how it becomes a hot thing among young people. The white design looks plain and there are not many functions that worth mentioning. Apple also bundles their online music store with the stupid software which I think is not fair to other music stores. I would prefer Creative's players instead of Apple's.

I admit that sometimes I purchase things just to be a little different from the majority, but my main "mp3 player" is actually a sony minidisc player, the mz-nh600d. I have had it for about a month now and I think it is great. Although I only have pretty bad mp3 players to compare it to (such as my rio nike 32mb mp3 player... simply not enough memory)

I have used some normal flash mp3 players before and I can say that they are fine with me, however I am now waiting for my Nano to come, have not used IPOD before so this will let me know if all the hype on Ipods are true, hope I wont be disappointed.

it's exciting all the features you can find in the new devices, you can find from microdevices that allow you store music for weeks, with video, photos, and even documents to microcomputers in wich you could surf the web, talk with your friends, have a video conversation, international roaming, play your favourite games with people in the other side of the world, and the best of all, after abusing of your handheld, insert it in your pocket!.a few days ago i saw a cellphone really incredible, it had all the features that any person would like in a simple machine, like mp3 player, an incredible 2.3 megapixel resolution camera, bluetooth, a good display(i don't remember how big it was, but i'm sure it was big enough too see your pictures or even surf the net), includes a 512mb memory stick duo, mmm, a prety headphones that sure sounds prety good, flash incorporated, java, the functionallity of a GOOD walkman without loose the personality of a cellphone, well, it had everything, i'm talking of the sony-ericsson w800, it's the most wanted cellphone i have ever seen, even i love the color, it's orange!, men! unfortunately it was out of stock, by now i think i will have to wait for the next time!

I have a Mobiblu cube MP3 player (which I reviewed Here) And I really like it. I think from what you posted you are probably looking for something bigger at least in size. The mobiblu is really small.

One nice alternative to the ipod nano/mini is the creative zen micro. If you want a hard drive based player.

My suggestion is to think about what you will use it for most. If you want something for the gym/running etc.. then go with a small flash based player. If you want to dump your whole music collection on it and use it for general low intensity listening, then go with a hd based larger player.

Ipods are definetely better than the cube MP3 players. They have 30 gagabyte and 60 gigabyte models, plus the ability to download videos from their video store and play them, plus play photos. For just 300 bucks, they're great deals.
