Neon Glow Or Plasma Glow Tutorial

Step 1 Do any background that has plenty of white space like this.

or a background that can be used as a glow enhancer.

in order to achieve this you must have at least one layer that is completely white and then set it to color dodge and your set.

 

NOTE:Make sure all your brushing is done in black for the white layer to be used effectively.

 

Step 2 next you get a render that also in black and white like this one.

Step 3 and then male a copy of it by using ctrl+j

 

Step 4 now on your copy you want the following settings

 

go to filters>stlylize

 

These are the settings that i used for this render

 

Edge Width 5

Edge Brightness 20

Smoothness 8

 

NOTE:settings may vary on what kind of render you use.

 

Step 5 then go to filters>glaussian blur

 

then set the blur to between 4-5 just enough to glow and have some shape to it just like this.

Step 6 Then put your original render layer on top of your copy and then set it to overlay and your done.

 

Step 7 Next you pick a color it could be solid or a gradient effect just choose which one suits it best Also make sure the colored layer is on top of the render for it to effect as well. For me I went with a solid green color.

Step 8 Now for a cool text effect it simple make a copy of your text then go to layer> layer style then click on drop shadow and outer glow at default settings.

Step 9and then go to filters> blur> radial blur and use these settings

last time i knew our tutorials where connected to some tutorial site odn't know which though. But thanks the hard part was remembering how I did it B).
