Problem With Domain Still Not Resolved

Recommended Posts

I recently created a thread about switching my Xisto domain to the one I bought, and about the problem when I can access http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/, but cannot access http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/, which by the way gives me "new paugina" page! I got some advices about record "A" and I did everything but still doesnt wotk. For some reason when I go to http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ - it WORKS.... but the site itself doesn't load. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ works perfectly. I'm really desperate and seeking for the help already for a month. I even made a screenshot of what I got in the "A" record on the side of my domain provider. Please administrators help me to resolve that problem.

P.S I wrote a message to customer support of godaddy.com ( where I ordered domain from) and they replied saying that I have a hosting plan not with them therefore they wont help. Please help me again!

I'm at your site right now and the http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and aigrphics.com both work i guess it had to do with the time it take to set up the url for the website, usually that takes the longest.

Take a look at the second line of A (Host), you see the @ sign? It's pointing to IP other than Xisto. And your CNAME www alias points to @. So basically you set your A names wrong.

I noticed also that your nameserver is pointing to the wrong place http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I know you've been getting advise from another member but honestly all you had to do was change the nameserver to ns1.trap17.com and ns2.trap17.com and update your cPanel domain name register to aigraphics.net. And waited 24~72 hours. That's it. If you would like to try it again, set all your settings in domain control (Godaddy) to the default setting, then just change the nameservers. And wait few hours/days.

I tried changing dns to Xisto but the result is exactly the same, moreover I couldnt modify this menu with A, MX cname value after Xisto dns's. I will try to change that ip to Xisto but I think I tried it before. I will reply soon with received results.

I just checked the settings and the ip was correct - 69.50.188.18 of Xisto, the screenshot was kind of old. I cant understand how is this happening - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ works, http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ points me to some page - what is it? If www doesn't work - how come I still can type http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and access my cpanel of Xisto with no problem? Theoretically what might happen? Maybe its some problem with my account on Xisto.

P.S my list of parked domain is empty on Xisto cpanel

I would say wtf, but it's pointing to my site, just like some other bugged domains which are directed to my site :|I dont have any of the domains pointing to my site parked or add-on'ed in my cpanel, except the nrm2k.uni.cc one.nrm2k.uni.cc uses ns1.trap17.com and ns2.trap17.com o0The funny thing is that my domain just works like it should... I'll contact opaque.. Altrough all this free bandwith for a site I havent been using for a while is nice x[

malish,The ping results and whois results are all returning with the correct setting values. So, at this point I would like to ask you, when you changed domain name in your cPanel did you enter the whole http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ or just aigraphics.net?In the mean time, let me see if I can get in touch with OpaQue and ask him with details. Thanks for being so patient
