boyCradle 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2004 Admin said he "doesn't require us to add a banner link to Trap 17, but a text link would be nice," it's just a simple way of helping T17 to continue their service for free.
liliano 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2004 Ok I Recive this mail ::Whats that Mainthats main put Xisto.com link to my web page ?Plz Tell me to i do it ?Hi Member's,Do not worry, your account is safe and the title was put to get your attention. We are one of the most advanced free web hosting companies. While other companies benefit by putting ads on member's site, we do not like it and throughly discourage it. We do not force members to put ads on their site. But Xisto needs funds in order to survive. Because of which we use ads. We all know that Google disabled our Xisto.com account due to AD-spamming by one of our members. As a result, we are really falling short of funds. Our current ads are pay-per-impression which do not pay us much. Inorder to solve this, We have registered another domain : http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ ( Cool name..eh ? ) All we are asking you is to please set this site ( http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/) as your HOMEPAGE.Steps : 1>Go to the site http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/2>Click the homepage icon for setting it as homepage3>If you are using Internet explorer, Click CTRL+DAfter setting this page as homepage, this page will appear everytime you load your browser. This site is a replica of Google and we ask you to please use it for your daily Google Search. Whenever you use it and click the sponsored ads, we get paid.Kindly support us member's. We are not compelling or forcing anyone to do this. But if you don't, its ultimately you who is going to lose. If I really get a nice response, then I will lift the RULE for staying active at the forums. This is just like Kazaa. We share, we get. If you use, you will get. Else, one fine day, the titile may not reflect this content.Once again, Thank You member's for sincerely supporting us
odomike 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2004 That was meant for you to help T17 in making the necessary payments for running the web hosting. It (the Xisto web hosting) sure consumes some money and we as the members ought to help T17 as much as we can. Bear in mind that admin said that it is not a must. It is a help you can do voluterily. Trystim 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2004 yes he did say this isn't amust and you dont have to do it etc etcbut think of it this way you are free to advertise as you see fit anyone and anything on your site except warez and pornography i believe, with that being the case remember if Xisto goes down you go down to. i feel he asks very little for the out of pocket expense i am sure it takes to run the server for all of us to have a website. I click all 3 links side of the screen top of screen and bottom of screen minimum 2 times a day plus put an ad banner from the main page here and a text link on my site for Xisto i dont want to see them fail. and will do what i can to help. iGuest 3 Report post Posted October 14, 2004 ...if you have just "nothing" in your homepage, maybe you could use it to redirect to Xisto instead.Actually, that's not a bad idea! While my site is currently under construction I think I will add a 1-minute redirection link back to Xisto. That way my visitors can see that my site is still under construction, getting to see the graphic and read the little bit of info on my main page, and then redirect them to this site... That would work great until my site is fully up and running... I never thought of that until I read this post... Thanks, -- J.

I wouldnt mind doing that for t17 at any time i decide to re-design my website and removes it from t17 server.
