Ps2 Burnt Out will it happen with a slim?

My normal ps2 burnt out, and one of my freinds said that it wont with the slm, because of the port or something on the outside of it.Could anyone clarify this for me.Thanks

Maybe you're playing way too long with it so the processor or else too hot and burnt. Even with slim version that will be chance to burn nothing to do with port :DIn fact PS 2 slim is got problem with memory card and laser that make it overheating. slim PS2 is not ment for more then 3-4 hours at a time. Your suppose to turn it off for 5-10min during those 3-4 hours. SONY had it on there site some where.
