That was really nice setup, but how about if somebody wants to use your PC's you just let them in and stay in your room until they finished what they are doing? how about your privacy? unless somebody has their pc too. If thats the case well, I like the way you think... pc inside my room, but if somebody is using your computer just put it outside your room.

Anyway if somebody used your pc and you put it inside your room maybe they will think that you are selfish...

Ha, yeah, I'm trying to convince my dad to let me have my computer in my room. But my room is too small T__Tthen again, I alredy have my own comptuer, so no one can kick me off unless they need to install virus security stuff. But it's for my own good. But the other disadvantage with that is my sister's AND dad's computer are right next to mine (we have our little computer room...). So I don't feel any privacy, especially because my dad monitors what I sign up on... And they know if I'm doing my homework or not because they're right next to me T__TBut, I'm moving my bed to my computer room, that way, I can stay up on the computer all night (even though I do that regardless of my computer being in my room or not XD)

So my house isn't the only one witrh a room full of computers! I think it's important when you are young to not have a computer in your room. It's good to see parents who take an active interest in what their kids are doing and try to keep them away from the bad stuff.

I wish I could have a computer in my room, but everyone in my house, except my little sister, use the computer and I don't want everyone in my room. But, I might be getting a laptop, once I saved up enough money, so I might have a computer in my room

Having a computer in your room is excellent, if absolutely no one else uses it and it's all yours. I have a family PC in my sitting room, which I use most often, and a pretty pathetic laptop in my room. But the pathetic laptop is useful for when my mum decides it's computer free week. Then I can go to my room and quietly use my laptop. But it would be better if I had a really good computer in my room.

It?s really good to have a computer in your room, as long as it is your personal computer and nobody else uses it. We have to admit it... porn is important in that  but there are a lot of webs that you can visit and you won?t tell anybody... so you don?t want anybody to know. If somebody else uses your computer you have to be constantly erasing folders like Recent Docs, Temp, History, be careful with cookies etc. I use to download lots of porn years ago... and you can go insane if someone else has acces to the same computer.

Anyway if you can?t control the time you spend on the computer, it?s not a good idea to have it in you room. You can spend whole nights surfing and that?s not too healthy... you can became totally unsocial. Another thing, although improbable, is that if you sleep with the computer on, imagine that there?s an energy crash and something starts to burn on your computer while you sleep deeply... risky uh? Be aware of electric storms

*wonders if he is the only person old enough to have moved out but not old enough to have a family of his own yet...*Personally I have a computer in my room as well, but I only have the one roomate so even if I had my comp in the living room of my apartment it wouldn't matter since we both have our own systems...and most of the 'perks' of having a comp in your own room are kind of pointless when your living on your own as they are more general truths lol. Either way, I can see where you are all comming from tho as back when I was living at home our comp was in a public area and it kind of sucked so...yea those still @ home and with their own comps in their bedrooms...congrats

I have a computer in my room. It's cool, except that it's not connected to the Internet...oh well...I get to do all my "offline" stuff in my room without anyone looking and then just transfer it to the family computer if I need to. Nobody in my family really takes much notice of what other people do on the computer anyway, so it's still cool. People constantly watching everything I did and signed up to would really annoy me. Not that I do anything bad, I just like my privacy. So, yep...I think having a computer in your bedrood is cool. If it was connected to the Internet it would be even better. I don't think I would like it though if there were other people that wanted to use the computer. As long as there's a seperate computer for everyone else to use, it would be good.
