ivpb skins how do you install them?

Recommended Posts

download a skin ( it shouild have set- at the start of it). Then upload in to your forums archive_in folder. You may need to chmod archive_in 777, styles_images 777 and i can't remmeber wahta the other folder is, it don't matter caus it tells you during the installation of the skin.

Now you have uploaded it, goto you admin control panel and skins and template>import skin files (on the left panel). Your skin set should be their and select import on the desired skin.

If succesful a success message will come up and you can go edit the properties under skins and templates>manage skin sets.

If unsuccesful error message saying couldnt import will come up and terll you which folder needs to be chmoded to work, follow their instructions (normally chmod 777).

After you have succesfully for security reasons you should change the folders back to their original chmod setting or how installation instructions instructed you too, if you installed via cpanel just goto Invision and download ipb1.3 to get the chmod settings to apply. Hope this helps

Has that solved the problem??? Because it always helps to know if you are offering the right advice. Then this topic could be closed once resolved and this would help the issue of space on XistoI not trying to be annoying but it would help :(
