Gmail As Your Storage scripts can be found anywhere, free

Recommended Posts

During my search for scripts for my site, I have found the followings:

Gmail downloader http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

This script logs into your account and downloads files stored. You can use it to link the files to be shared and transferred.

gDrive http://mods.cc/modules/news/

With this program you can upload higher than 10MB per attachment rule set by gMail.

Speaking of attachments, if you need to send more than what your mail box can handle, this site will offer up to 1GB attachment. Simply upload to their website and send the link to be downloaded to a recipient. Cool, ain't it?

And last but not least,

gMail storage drive https://www.allscoop.com/gmail-storage-drive.php

This handy thing-a-ma-bob allows you to use your gMail account as virtual file storage. You can access your files within Internet Explorer! I think you can do so much with that.

Good luck

Thanks for the links. I already use the last one, and it's super useful. To get gDrive you have to register  yousendit.com expires your fies if they aren't downloaded within 7 days, but besides that it's really good. Gmail downloader sounds really nice, but I don't really need it. Thanks!

GMail drive isn't working for me. I have Outpost Firewall pro. What will I add in my allowed list to allow GMail drive to access my account?

Only problem is if google finds out of people are using their email storage as a virtual drive... But not a bad idea. I have enough space though to carry files around, I have a 20 gig pocket USB 2 drive -_-

Impressive! But don't you think Google will find out sooner or later, and sue them? Or what if Google has this free storage, and rivals Streamload.com some day? *please oh please oh please!*I'd love to use it as a storage drive, but I have a dial-up connection, so I'd rather stick to my CDs. What'll happen if Google does a search and deletes all the storage files? Then, it's better to take matters into your hands.

Very nice, I have never knew you can do such wonderful things with Gmail such as this. This is really useful for some people with different tactics of ways of getting large files over the internet or just keeping your gmail account as a file server and not use up good space over on your server.Though you are right, Google might find out sooner or later... or maybe they have already figured this out, but yet they aren't doing much to stop this. Who knows exactly, we may all find out in time soon.

The file is no longer accessible after 7 days OR 25 times it has been downloaded, whichever comes first.
