To Get Over 25mb

Recommended Posts

You don't get more space for having loads of hosting credits. I know this for a fact because I'm a moderator here (I've read the rules at least twice), and I have 280+ hosting credit days. The reason you don't get more space and bandwidth for having a lot of hosting credits is because it would be a pain to do keep track and implement the plan for ALL "[HOSTED]" users. Instead, the admins created "packages". Package one requires 10 hosting credits (this is about 10 short posts or 3 long, good quality posts), and it will give you 20 MB of space and 500 MB of bandwidth. Package two, on the other hand, requires 5 times for hosting credits than package one, but you get more space and bandwidth - 150 MB and 5 GB, respectively.Hope that answered your question.

How do I pick package 2?

by making a formal request. there's a hosting request forum intended for this. when you have enough credits for the package you want (in your case, package 2), then prepare a formal request then wait to be approved by an admin. :) thenafter, if you have quality posts, you may get approved quickly depending on admin availability to process your request (they usually are here so it does not take long to get approved). just stay active in the forums so that your credits will stay afloat and you avoid hosting suspension. :P

Can you give exact specs as for howmany credits one needs to stay hosted, how it exactly works after you are hosted, because right now its a bit "misty" what happens after you signed up and are hosted.

all we can do is "recommend".

http://forums.xisto.com/index.php

The Hosting Credits determine the amount of days you can remain inactive. We recommend that you maintain a sufficient amount of hosting credits (more than 10). This will give you enough time, incase you cannot stay active due to any consequences.

PS : Hosting credits depend upon the size and content of the post. The number of posts you make, has no effect on hosting credits you earn.

Seb, you get hosting creditsby making good quality posts. The longer your posts are, the better. A small post will not earn you as much credit as a long post will.

You need 4 hosting credits once you are hosting to keep your account. If your credit reachers below 4 hosting credit days, but it is above negative 30 credit days, then your account will be suspended. If your account is suspended, then your files are still safe on Xisto servers, so you will have a chance to get out of the hole. However, if you hosting credits fall below negative 30, then your account will be terminated, and all your files will be deleted, and they are not recoverable if that happens. -_-
