Benedictxvi The Dot Com Story

Recommended Posts

with the interest that ensued with the prospects of selecting a new pope after pope john paul II's passing, there's this guy who captured the domain of the papal name chosen by the newly elected pope... days before there actually has been a conclave to elect one. :)

read a cnn account here:

and if you want to jump ahead, click http://benedictxvi.com/ and see where it goes.

BenedictXVI.com is currently receiving 1,000 hits per minute from curious Web users despite only linking to his personal site. "I can almost see the smoke rising from the server," he said.

Hmm, the site takes me here: http://workbench.cadenhead.org/news/2552/pope-pope-pope. Is that the right location?

By the way, serverph, do you happen to be Roman Catholic because you've been on the ball on the papal issues ever since the death of Pope John Paull II. (I'm Catholic :P).

You're apparently not Catholic, but 1/6 of the world is which is why John Paul II's death was a big deal. Also, JP II was, for most (and for me, too), the only pope people have known for their entire life. When I was born in '87, John Paul II was still the pope, so I have known him for literally my entire life.

...that's a rude remark, and I'm willing to bet that you've never heard him talk. The only reason he "cant talk" is because he's weak. Ever since his attempted assassination, his health has been declining, so that explains his lack of speech. If you've ever listened to his mass, he talks there....

Try not to stray off topic - this is a thread about the new pope, not about your website. There are separate forums designed for that. :D
