So, Coldfusion, Ha? smalltalk about coldfusion

Recommended Posts

I was just wandering, after reading about ColdFusion a bit... It seems quite easy to comprehend, and it shouldn't take much time and effort to learn. It looks like it is well bounded with major db players. What I would like to know is whether there is an open source server solution that would support ColdFusion apps, like there is for java, or must one buy the proprietary servers in order to deploy apps. Also, I haven't seen many free hosts offering the commodity of ColdFusion, whereas nearly all of them will give you the benefit of using PHP and/or CGI.
