Avant Browser is pretty good. It offers tabbed browsing and advert/spam protection. It is quite slow though. I find it faster than IE, but nowhere near as quick as FireFox.

it uses IE OM(Object Model) wich means its the same as internet explorer with a shell around it AKA UI(User Interface)
and for it being faster might be some form of pipelining that firefox uses

firefox can really compete with IE. As far as speed is concerned, IE & firefox seems to be almost same. But firefox is superb when stability is considered(IE crashes a thousand times).baggy
