what do u thing about Mammbo?

Recommended Posts

Mambo is a CMS like Php-Nuke. I used it in my last site and it's very good. It's more intuitive and simple to use than Php-Nuke or Post-Nuke, but a lot of powerful and complete. Try it and visit mamboportal.com for modules, themes and addons, you never return to Php-Nuke.

"Mambo has won the LinuxUser & Developer Award 2004 for'Best Linux or Open Source Software'. Mambo competed against open source luminaries such as KDE, Firebird SQL, and eGroupware." -- from http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

yeah, its pretty impressive. and a new version came out a couple months ago which has really raised it a level. What sold me on it was mostly the fact that it makes very professional looking and non-portalish websites. in addition, its a breeze to use and hacking the code a bit isnt hard at all.

I'm gonna give this thing a shot. How many styles and such are there?

There are 700 products for the 4.5.0 version and 200 for 4.5.1, it includes modules, components and templates, and there's lot of ppl who make theyr own.

It's ok now, I think the problem was Fantastico, but I still get an error message when I go to the general configuration: "configuration.php is : Unwriteable"Is this normal? I think I can change it manually, but isn't that quite risky?

Mambo is pretty good, in my opinion it looks the best out of all the CMS.I experienced some irritating log in and css style problems though when I installed the phpbb mod with it -_-"
