Our general perception towards popultion is as something that blocks every nook and corner of progress. Any effort made towards progress seems as trifle due to the huge number of mouths to be feed. But is there any different lesson that is being preached by recession that can transform our outlook towards it.As nowadays we come across by a term called "Demographic Divident" that well describes the sudden approach shift in favour of a large population comprising of working age people. Today if India is being called as the most sought after destination in BPO industry. Then definitely the credit goes to the big n-ary tree of population our ancestors has left behind as gift for the future generations to come. The fairly low labour wage that this part of the world offers is a tremendous benefit that BPO industry seeks to complete their work in less effort, time and cost. The cost effectiveness this whole business of outsourcing provides is due to the work getting shared by a fairly large mass and the willingness to work in lieu of an unthinkable wage in truly developed countries. When demographic divident is concerned its mainly the benefit a huge workforce provided by a particular geographic location. This workforce should comprise of teens and middle aged people.2 of the world's biggest population countries are India and China. So at a time when a large proportiion of China's population is heading towards crossing an age group of 50. Our country stands still to keep alive the hopes of European and American investors.Despite the reduced fertility rates India still stands in the front queue bearing the most number of hard working, diligent group of people.
