Pakistan politics is witnessing changes in prime minister candidature at a time when it has already too many things on its plate. Raja Pervez Ashraf replaces Gilani on account of corrruption charges. The charges were instigated from the fact that he refused investigation by Swiss authorities to reopen his old corruption charges. The country is struggling to ammend its relationship with US post Osama Bin Laden incident . The internal political crisis is adding on to the problems the more. The interesting fact is that Gilani is the 14 th prime minister in the history of pakistan politics who fails to complete full tenure for which he was elected for. The previous being Muhammad Mian Soomro who was elected as acting PM on 16th Nov 2007 and remained till 25 th March 2008 uptill the day Gilani was elected. Source
