Version 1.02 has been released and includes the following changes:
* "Send To" context menu
* Option to preserve filenames in attachments
* Option to use HTTPS only (secure)
* Cookies don't interfere with GMail Notifier
* Proxy authentication support
* Several bugfixes
The new options are available in the Login dialog under the "More" button. It's necessary to uninstall, reboot and reinstall - to replace the old version

Since the Gmail Drive treat your uploading file as the attachment of your email. So the file size is limited by the attachment of Gmail, that is 10M. The only problem is speed, which depends on your bandwidth.I tried it... It works for small files without any problems. I uploaded an .gif file (8KB) and it worked fine and I saw that in Gmail account also. But then another zip file could not be sent at all and was repeatedly producing error...
Author of this app says that it is still beta and not secure.
There may be bugs like this also...
However, it is a very brilliant idea!
thank you winflower for giving the link...

It's really a nice tool for those who have GMAIL accounts.
GMail Drive is a Shell Namespace Extension that creates a virtual filesystem around your Google GMail account, allowing you to use GMail as a storage media. GMail Drive creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google GMail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored on your GMail account directly from inside Windows Explorer. GMail Drive literally adds a new drive to your computer under the My Computer folder, where you can create new folders, copy and drag'n'drop files to.

I don't have any trouble with it. In my opinion, it works even better than Ad-aware.
Don't use this one!! It can mess with your system something fierce... I know from personal experiance with this specific adware remover. It was recommended to me by the panicware company a while back. After I installed an ran it I restarted my computer and there were system files missing. The damned thing eat them...May be you can try this one:
Spybot - Search & Destroy
https://www.safer-networking.org/
It's also free.
I would stick with Ad-Aware. That is what I'm using now and it seems to work the best out of all the other adware removers out there.
-
I would like to recommend this rather than Ad-aware.Spybot Search & Destroy. There are many adware and spyware that may escape Ad-aware. The second line of defense must be this utility. You can get it here.
My favourite is Maxthon (previously MyIE2) This is an IE based browser and requires that you have Internet Explorer also in your computer. It has innumerable features including tab support, pop-up blocker and Ad hunter!
This is also my favourite browser.

I don't know why you suspect its ligality. Have you thought of it when you contact your friends with MSN messanger?
winflowers, is this software legal? What is Skype?Skype is the next phenomenon from the people who brought you KaZaA. Just like KaZaA, Skype uses P2P (peer-to-peer) technology to connect you to other users not to share files this time, but to talk and chat with your friends.
The technology is extremely advanced but super simple to use... Youll be making free phone calls to your friends in no time!
Features
Free unlimited worldwide phone calls to other Skype users
Superior sound quality
Works with all firewall, NAT and routers nothing to configure!
Friends list shows you when your Skype friends are online and ready to talk or chat
Super-simple and easy to use
Your calls are encrypted end-to-end in order to safeguard your privacy
Based on cutting edge peer-to-peer technology developed by the creators of Kazaa and Joltid
https://www.skype.com/en/
Isn't it something like Kazaa? P2P?
What is the status of this program? Can we use this without any threat of legal suits? You inputs will be helpful.
Thanks
Googlue!
Of course, you can get what you need from their website.
I would like to say: Just use it!

https://support.google.com/mail/answer/10960?hl=enThe Gmail Notifier is a downloadable Windows application that alerts you when you have new Gmail messages. It displays an icon in your system tray to let you know if you have unread Gmail messages, and shows you their subjects, senders and snippets, all without your having to open a web browser.
System Requirements
To use the Gmail Notifier, you need Windows 2000, Windows XP, or a more recent version of Windows.

Opera is good, but doesn't work on all cases. For example: Gmail, even with latest version, 7.6 preview 1.I am rely trying to understand how people use IE, IT IS A PEACE OF SHEET, aren't you try anuything fester, better, bugfree, come on IE is rely the worse of all popular, tru firefox, it's good and more IE like, try opera if yao want everything on one place , TRY SOMETHING ELSE

Maybe I need a firewall besides an antivirus software. But I haven't met any problems without a firewall. At the moment, I am using KAV for antivirus, Spybot and ad-aware for removing spyware.
-
I am afraid that the firewall couldn't get rid of all spyware.I use norton personal firewall 2003!It?s really good!It blocks all ads and sometimes some windows open but they are closed by the firewall!

I think it shold be something like XP2 if it was released about 2 weeks ago.yeah, I live in sacramento, and a friend pointed it out on the SacBee talking about releasing the SP3 in a few days, and that was like 2 weeks ago. Ive been looking for it but I cant find any information about it. I know I saw it saying service pack 3... if everybody is saying its not out yet, then its probably my bad. Sorry.

I am using Maxthon (MyIE2) browser, which is based on the Internet Explorer engine. It gives many additional efficient features including AD Hunter.
Popup ads, Flash ads, Floating ads, Image ads... Get enough with all these annoying ads? Here is the solution: AD Hunter. AD Hunter consists of several neat functions to block all kind of ads. You can use the "Auto Filter" to block popup ads or setup a "Filter List" for more accurate and customized blocking.

Sorry for that. I didn't want to make them as "spams". I just don't know how to quote two posts in one reply.

I have been using ad-aware for long time. But when I tried spybot search&distroy, I found it could find more adware, like these:--- Search result list ---I use ad-aware and i find its the best so far.. i've yet to come across a better 1... spybot search and destroy is ok but it didnt find everything ad-aware did

Yes, "immunize" is a useful option.Again, Spybot S&D has an option which allows you to 'immunize' your system. Besides that, use a firewall. I personally only use WinXPs firewall.
Although, the only type of spyware you will find is most likely a cookie or two if you have Adaware running in the background.

May be you can try this one:
Spybot - Search & Destroy

I am using ad-aware too. I think it's enough for me. Don't have any trouble with it.
-
It's not only a P2P phone, you can also use its SkypeOut function to make calls to friends who only have a landline or mobile phone anywhere in the world at local rates.
-
Agree!Just download and install it.
-
Opera is faster than IE based browsers and more functions, but sometimes doesn't show correct on some pages.

I am using Maxthon (MyIE2) as my primary browers. It's convenient and powerful.Maxthon is a powerful web browser with a highly customizable interface. It is based on the Internet Explorer engine (your most likely current web browser) which means that what works in IE, works the same in Maxthon but with many additional efficient features like... Tabbed Browsing Interface Mouse Gestures Super Drag&Drop Privacy Protection AD Hunter Google Bar Support External Utility Bar Skinning And Much More to Explore...

I have been using flashget for a couple of years, and it's perfect. I also tried Net Transport for MMS and RTSP streaming media data downloading. It's freeware before v.1.87. Now new version of Flashget(>1.6) supports MMS and RTSP protocol too.
