  1. I could never find the patience to do these types of things. I've tried a few and I must say the worst is definitely PrizeRebel. The pages just keep coming and coming. :D Anyways I'll give this one a shot, I hope its not so boring like all the other ones.

If you don't have the patience to type everything, then you can download an autofiller like RoboForm and have it fill out the information all in a single click. ?There is also a Mozilla Firefox plugin that checks all the no's and one yes. But even with these programs and plugins, I still can not find myself doing that stuff for long periods of time. ?By the way, Points2Shop is just like PrizeRebel. ?:)

  2. there is a low risk since xisto has hosting rules for shared hosting. custom name servers will make your site look more professional to those who do a "whois". they will see YOUR domain and not Xisto - Web Hosting. looks better, doesn't it?
also, this is still a debate that google will lower a rank of one website who shares an ip with another with a low rank.....i don't believe it though. especially when using two different domain names.

Thank you.  I think that once I get enough money credited into my billing account, I am going to host a website with Xisto without the dedicated IP or custom namespaces checked. Once I get around a 800-1000 visitors daily, I might consider getting those options.

I have one more question.  Does the custom namespaces only make the "whois" look more professional or does it do other things.  I don't see the point in custom namespaces if they only make your site "look better".

  3. Haha, I used this for my shortcut folders on my desktop. I really do not like the look of any icons/folders on my desktop so I just make them invisible. To create multiple folders within the same directory, you just need to add two+ null characters (Alt+255).

  4. What is the most effective technique to get the most out of your blog/website?  I am talking money-wise. Some people use Google adsense, Yahoo! Publishing Network, or Clicksor.  Some people use in text link ads such as Kontera and Infolinks.  What do you think is the best way to earn revenue off of your blog/website?  Also, what do you think is the most unique way to earn revenue?

  5. I have been programming off and on for the past three years. I think I started with Visual Basic and then moved to C++. I then stuck with C++ for a while. I have taught myself these languages because I gained an interest in them. Actually, I know many young pre-teens that try to learn how to program by themselves. Next school year, I am going to start hardcore programming because I am going to take a class on computer programming (my source for inspiration and motivation).

  6. Hello! bucksdude7. We are gald that you have chosen Xisto. It is really easy to get your website up and running. First remember to link your Xisto billing account with your forum account. If you do not know how to do that, basically, sign up here: https://support.xisto.com/ using the same exact email that you used to sign up on this forum. Once you have made five quality points, your two accounts will become linked. If it doesn't, you just need to wait for a while. Be sure to read the ToS, forum rules, and the post regarding myCENT (the virtual money from the forums; used to purchase free hosting). If you like, you can also sign up at Xisto as well. You may earn myCENTs from both forums.

By the way, how long have you been in the Web Design class? My friends have taken it and they have learned HTML, a little PHP, and how to use WYSIWYG editors. I am curious to see how different these two classes are.

We hope you enjoy it here at Xisto. Just holler if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or doubts. :)

  7. Most of my friends go to points2shop. I personally do not like the program. I think the job is too tedious and boring. I use swagbucks for my prizes. You get points for using their search engine and it is really easy to refer people. They keep expanding their list of prizes. Lockerz takes a while to earn points (4 ptz/day + referrals ptz). Redemption only comes once or twice a month for only about 3 minutes so it is really hard to get prizes.

  8. I think that space exploration is a very good thing. I believe that one day, we will get somewhere with it. Maybe the way we view the universe will turn into Star Trek. ;)Years ago, we couldn't get to the moon. Look at where we are now. In a few hundred years (if we are still around), we might be out of this galaxy and into another one. Who knows? What if we find another planet that is similar to Earth? The Earth is dying right now and it would be great if it was possible to transfer some humans to the other planet.

  9. Tetris is one of my favorite games. I started playing when I read an article about how it changes the way you think. I play online, tetrisfriends.com. My favorite games are Sprint, Classic, and Battle 2-6 players. All of them are really fun. TetrisFriends are devevloping new game modes like Rally. I am not too fond of that mode. It confuses me. x.x

  10. Kontera or Infolinks are both good ppc programs. Xisto and Xisto both use Kontera. Kontera and Infolinks basically go through the text in your page and hyperlink them with ads. I think they are more effective than adsense for most types of websites. If I were to pick from your list, I would choose adsense. I find it slow though. Yahoo! Publisher Network would be my second choice.

  11. I don't think you will experience any problems at Xisto or Xisto. The customer service is really helpful and will reply to you very quickly. This is one of the reasons why I love Xisto. The community is very friendly and the hosting is equivalent to paid hosting. :)

  12. Hello rabirabbit! Welcome to the forum. I see that you have already linked your Xisto billing account with your forum account I do not need to show you. If you are new to websites, do not worry! Most of the trappers on this forum ARE web designers and will be able to help you. You might want to start here to learn how to develop websites: http://www.w3schools.com/
I hope that you enjoy it here at Xisto.

  13. For the number of visits must the site have per month. The limit is your bandwidth. Bandwidth is the amount of transfer from one point to another (ex. your website). Free hosts will give you a high amount of bandwidth or a low amount. They will rarely grant you unlimited bandwidth (in this case, there are no limits). For the 'x' days inactivity limit, some free hosts will delete your account anywhere from 30-90 days of inactivity. Xisto will suspend your web account if you are not able to keep up with the payment (stay active on the forums).

  14. Hi! And Welcome to the Xisto forum! We are sure that you will enjoy it here. The hosting packages that Xisto offers are really cheap so I think that you will be setting up your website in no time. Regarding myCENT, after you sign up for both accounts (forum and billing) with the same email address, you have to make 5 quality posts before the two accounts link.About 000webhost. I really don't think that it is a bad web host at all. What was your experience with that host. I have had that host for about a year before I came to Xisto.Hope you like it here. :)

  15. "1984" by George Orwell is a great book! I assure you that it will change the way you think about human ignorance. The book was published 1949 so it is somewhat old. Most people can't stand reading this book because it is so boring but you seem like the kind of person who is eager to read this.I started reading this book for a school assignment. It is true that I was dying when I first started reading it. After a few chapters, I actually enjoyed the book. All types of questions popped up in my mind. I wondered what would happen next. George Orwell skillfully placed dramatic irony all over the book. After reading this book, you might question how many, if any, conspiracies may be lying under your nose.I highly recommend this book to you. Be careful before purchasing it though. It is kind of a tough read for people who aren't fluent in English and is based on history (might be boring to some people).

  16. I believe that loving someone on the internet is ridiculous but I do admit that I have had an "online girlfriend" when I was about ten years old. I was... Hah! I really don't remember. Anyways, I was too young to understand how wrong that is. I think that people who love someone on the internet have no lives (disregarding dating services, different story). I find it hilarious watching some of my friends play online games. You will see people spamming "L> GF!" all over the place. And then you will see people saying, "I will be your GF!". Things like that make my day. lolI think that some people need to feel loved so they get a "girlfriend/boyfriend" on the internet. Most people are extremely afraid to come up with the guts to ask someone out. If you look on the internet, you will see all sorts of articles informing people about how they are afraid to ask someone out. Asking someone online to be their "lover" just takes some typing and the {ENTER} key.It is OK to become acquainted with people online but relationships are a no-no. You should have at least met the person face-to-face before you can try and start a relationship with them.Marriages online are a great money-making scheme for gaming companies. Teens are the main target for games and they tend to get addicted to games. About 70% of the teens playing MMO games have online relationships with someone. Some kids get too "into the game" however. Not too long ago, I read a blog post of a gamer claiming to have cried in real life after his "online girlfriend" broke up with him. I think that online marriages are okay if it is for fun. Many people will disagree with me and say that loving someone on the internet is OK. I can agree with that somewhat. You can't really characterize someone on the internet for looks (unless they have profile pics) and it can really brush up your social skills (possibly).
