thanx .... I've now done that .... however, I've then gone on to a site that will check my hot link protection ..... it only seems to work if I first clear my temporary internet files cache .... then my replacement anti-theft image shows up .... but does that mean that despite having the hotlink protection that visitors will still be able to hotlink my graphics from my temp files cache?

Does anyone know if/where I can get a free script for tracking direct/hot linkers? ..... so I can leave a "theft" graphic in place of the image they've hot linked ....

I'm currently moving my site to Xisto - Web Hosting.com .... so, I've set up an account .... now what? .... as I already have my own domain name, it asks me to "update my nameserver" .... how do I do that? also, does anyone know how I get access to Xisto - Web Hosting cpanel? .... oh and, please keep it simple people .... Even at my age you can still have little crushes .... I just wondered who, at the moment rocks your world? .... someone who when you see their face in a magazine or in a movie or on TV etc, makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up on end? .... who in fantasy land is the person you'd most like to date, if it wasn't for the fact that you're too much of a nonentity for your paths to ever cross?? Mine has been and probably will be for the near future, Viggo Mortensen, aka LOTR's "Aragorn" .... it's my secret shame that I still have the ability to have a wee crush on some abstract celebrity .... what am I like ?? .... however, it keeps me young at heart .... there's life in the old girl yet !!! .... I could wax lyrical about La Mortensen for hours but I'll spare you that particular joy! .... So come on folks .... share!

Vandalism is due in no small part to a lack of intelligence and maturity .... when I stand at my bus stop and read the graffiti there, my heart sinks .... not only is the spelling atrocious, but there is nothing intelligible being expressed .... for example "I WUZ HERE" .... or "MICHELLE LUVS ANDY" .... well isn't that grand??? then there's cigarette burns all over the bus shelter .... what the hell is that all about??.... we also have kids setting fires to trees on a regular basis .... why?? there's no excuse .... it 's just ignorance and a general lack of respect for other people and property .... you just have to hope that they'll grow out of it .... and then have children of their own, who'll carry on the vandalism tradition! and don't say it's down to boredom .... we've all been bored as kids growing up .... but we had to amuse ourselves by using our imagination .... something I that is sadly lacking in today's generation .... Okay, I'll get down off my soapbox now ....

I swear like a trooper .... always have done .... my father says that swearing is due to a lack of vocabulary, but I disagree .... I think it adds flavour to a conversation .... however, my language is dependant on the situation and company I'm in .... which I think is the key issue .... it's inappropriate to start swearing in front of people you don't know .... I'm acutely aware that many find swearing offensive and curb my language accordingly .... for instance I wouldn't let rip with a string of expletives on this site .... that would be extremely rude! it's a vice I know .... but we all have our little vices don't we ???

Okay, I'm officially furious .... yesterday I started a part-time course in web design .... I was very nervous, as it's been ages since I've studied plus I'm a lot older than the rest of the class .... this does not mean however, that I cannot learn and that I am in fact, intellectually challenged .... so why then am I treated as such? .... true, it takes me a bit longer to mentally process things but I get there in the end .... younger people seem to forget that being older means a hell of a lot more responsibilities to cope with .... I have to work, look after a home, pay bills and study at the same time .... sounds a breeze?? .... just wait and see! .... oh and of course there's also the joys of parenting .... the many and splendid problems of children, even grown up children .... who always look to you to sort out any little problems that may arise in their pampered existences .... I felt so bad yesterday, I'm seriously considering not going back .... but family and friends are trying to persuade me to still give it a go .... so, here I am venting in the hope that I'll get it out of my system and be ready for round 2 next week .... yeah well, we'll see .... I make no apologies for moaning .... I'm sooo mad!! Cheerie .... ~M~

I couldn't agree more .... queing for ages just to save a relative miniscule amount of money on petrol is ridiculous .... I've no doubt we'll end up with a winter of fuel protests again .... which is a nightmare, causing untold chaos .... however, from what I've heard in the news lately, I'd be more worried about the potential fuel shortage over the winter months .... considered opinion from some experts suggests that this is a very real possibility .... and for a country that relies heavily on gas to heat their homes, we could be in for a long cold winter .... brrr!!

I think any unstable country, which also has nuclear capabilities could potentially instigate an attack .... so the USSR and Pakistan could fall into this category .... more worrying is the potential attack from countries who are suspected of having nuclear capabilities, but deny same .... so Israel, Iran and the Ukraine .... However, the USA is paranoid and neurotic enough to instigate a nuclear attack .... and they have a history of it! ....

It's really hard to pin down favourite songs, 'cause it's kind of a transient thing .... but one of my faves has to be "Yellow" by Coldplay .... the lyrics are fairly simplistic but so beautifully delivered that they haunt you .... this song is a bit of a grower .... it slowly crept up on me and now I think it's a classsic .... and though this is irrelevant to the thread, the video is one of my all time favourtites too .... it perfectly compliments the song .... so, to summarise , not the best lyrics in the world, not the best voice in the world, not the most expensive or complex video in the world .... but Yellow is a classic never the less .... weird! Excellent!

See I'd disagree with that .... I designed my site just to have somewhere to put my film reviews and little bits of LOTR related material etc .... I don't really care how many hits I get .... I'm doing this as a hobby .... it gives me a creative outlet .... which is great .... plus I'm picking up computer skills as I go along .... however, in that area, I'm still very much out of my depth .... Oh well, onwards and upwards!

The older you get the less time you have to pursue your passions .... that said, I luv writing film reviews, working on my site, listening to music and of course, watching movies .... Cheerie x

I'm pretty sure that the hundreds of thousands of American citizens, (not refugees), in the Southern states affected by Katrina, aren't really agonising too much over the hike in gas prices at the moment .... they're probably more concerned about the fact that they've lost their loved ones, homes, jobs, schools etc .... just a thought! ....
