The new toolbar is out for about a week now, and i adore the new features (specially the Spell Check). But i have noticed that there are two new buttons, which are important for webmasters: vote for or against the current site. How does google use this data? Does it give something to the serps as pagerank does? This is a nice idea by the way, but can cause some voting spam i guess...So does anybody posess info on the google voting?

I was just curious if there was a good one of these which is also user friendly to a beginner. I know this is a lot to ask for, but asking doesn't hurt. Thanks for any help.

If you had to only take 3 pieces of software, what would they be and why? Hello Everyone,I am setting up a wireless network for my house, im finally getting rid of the dial-up (cost justified it). My cable line will be installed soon, and I am going to wireless network it so my two desktop PCs can share the Internet access. I've heard the mysterious security issues, but most of them seem pretty obvious that you have to be ignorant to overlook, like changing the admin password on your router, etc.Anyway, what I am getting at here is a question: do you have any tips for securing a wireless network?Thanks!

Has anyone played this game, for any system? I absolutly love this game! Its so realistic, and the seasons are so much funner then previous nfl games!! If your a nfl fan, i extremly reccommend this game! you can create your own teams, players, and even fans! Its also a multiplayer, on the same team, or vs.! This must be the best sports game ive ever played. superb graphics, great game play, an awesome and fun franchis, and the list goes on!!

Well, a kid on my bus is convinced that China would beat the United States in a war. I think, in fact, I KNOW that the United States would win. Here is why.FACT: The United States is the world's super-mega power.FACT: The Unites States makes about 10 times the money that China does.FACT: The United States has mare nukes than any other country, and we are the only country that has ever used them in war.I could come up with more.Face it. Just because China has more people that the United States doesn't mean anything. They still use pitchforks and swords for fighting. (Not really, but oh well.) The U.S. has the most advanced weapons in the world. We have stealth bombers and all that crap. China is gonna die.Just because China has a huge army, and even if they have plenty of guns, our guns are more advanced and can shoot faster and longer. The reason that Wal*Mart has so much from China is because of it's cheap labor costs, which mean cheap prices. We buy alot, they don't make that much.Fact: The U.S. makes roughly 10 trillion dollars per year, while China makes only 1.5.All of China's people wouldn't be fighting in a war, most of them are either childer (not old enough to fight), or farmers and such who are not real military people. I think that if we got into a war with China, most of the Chinese would be on our side anyways. The Chinese government is Communist, and I know that most, (not all, but most) of the Chinese oppose their Communist government. Have you ever heard of that big massacre that took place with the tanks?The money that we have allows us to better equip and train our soldiers that the Chinese. We have better fighting tactics, because we have more money to train our soldiers.Think about it.

I was just reading a closed thread where people were discussing about Native Americans, and some of them were referring Native Americans as Indians. So I am surprised that if you call a few Native Americans as Indians, what will you call people with 1 Billion population(Indians of India) as? Don't you think that Indians is politically wrong term to refer them as. Or its a time when Indians from India should start asking for rights? Laughing What should be correct term to call them as? I'm new to this forum and do not know whether this has been discussed or not, so I'll dive right in and start something controversial.This thread is really about whether gay marriage should be allowed, not whether it is right or not. I think to disagree but still allow something is the ultimate example of tolerance.So here we go....If gays were given the right to marry, what impact would it make in the lives of those who were not gay? Close to zero. I don't know all of the gay people in America and I don't plan too, so let them do what they want. I probably will never notice.But why should I allow this to happen if I disagree with it? If something is morally wrong, it shouldn't be allowed, right? This is not how America or freedom is supposed to work. Adultery, lying, sex before marriage, dishonoring one's parents, etc. are all sins to some people, but yet they are all legal. Just because you disagree with something doesn't mean you should ban it. What if all of the gay people in America wanted to ban straight marriage? Shouldn't they be allowed to by the same logic?Well that should get everyone started, I'll keep posting.

Hi All,I don't see any thread discuss about the pros and cons of different languages to help beginners, but i'm asking for a slightly different reason. I have been programming for about 1 year now, and I know only Visual Basic. I am planning to learn some other programming langauges. I've learned that once you've learned one language, pretty much all you have to do is learn a new syntax to learn a new language. So, now I'll get to the point. I think that I should begin to specialize in a language. I don't know which language I should learn and master it. So which language is most popular in industry. I know that it probably depends on what applications you are doing, but i figured i'd ask. Many thanks.
