  1. as a WAP hacker in training (learning it because someone actually lost access to their router, what an idiot, lol) all i can say is the most you can do is out a WAP key on it, but dont make it anything that someone can guess, no birthdays, nothing someone else can know. The other thing that i see a lot is most use an unencrypted router using the default ssid. that is a big security risk, because of that my laptop autoconnects to every linksys router around here, and there is exactly 62 over about 20 miles, netgear is a close second, belkin54g is another, all non wpa protected too.I do admit free internet can be nice, but when they start getting serious and start getting on your computer, then you have problems, so basically what you need to do is this.* Change the SSID of the router* Add a WEP encryptionDonts are* Trying to hide the SSID of the router, that can cause problems for you when you try to connect it.* beware of vans with antennas on them with a bunch of guys with laptops in it. thats usually a bad sign, lolThats all i have to say, not much, but it is all that i know of to protect yourself.

  2. Nice tutorial, never thought of doing it that way, i just got a trial of a barcode software to make a fake vip pass to mess with my friends (but the barcode was actually a valid one that would have gotten me in, lol) its fun to mix photoshop and real life, it makes friends be scared of you and what ur gonna do next, lol its fun thoBut that barcode you made is a valid one aswell, but it wont be unless it is scanned in the system.

  3. they are trying to defend their territory, i can see that, but that still is no excuse if they are doing it for no reason (some sites are not compatable, but forcing it to be like that is just wrong) i know msn spaces wont allow firefox, and neither does gmail (tho it works it limits functionality of it sadly)I think microsoft finally sees that firefox just might be better than IE and is trying to get rid of the compition.

  4. I think the IE 7 will be included with windows longhorn, if so then im just getting lh, lol, but i like the tabbed browsing, i hope they use the same hotkeys tho, themes would be nice but not totally needed for me, i have windowblinds for that, more security would be a great help, and a better download manager in it aswell, I use ie sometimes for things like .net stuff (hotmail, msn spaces, etc) because they work best with it, and well im really glad to hear that they are finally fixing the png format for it aswell. that would be like a dream come true, lol

  5. wow goose, it sounds awesome, just like i thought it would be, lolI am downloading it now, i hope it will run on my pos compaq.yeah i love games with a good water effect too, i dunno but it makes it that much more perfect :P

  6. What do you think about the Windows Longhorn 5048 Build?I like the glass effects although it is a bit buggy at this point, the startmenu is transpearent when the glass isnt enabled and then solid when it is,Some programs still do not work with this build, im trying to make a list of the ones that dont work on this build. The main bug/error that i see that really annoys me is the explorer error that only shows 50 files, though there is a workaround. The things i miss from this release that were in 4074 is the sidebar, and the image previews for explorer, also the slider that lets you set a size for your icons, that was nice, msn messenger still doesnt really work well with this release, but i did get it to run, you still cant use the automatic sign in still.I also miss the wallpaper that came with 4074 but that can be downloaded (if you want it i have it.)I like the startmenu the way they redid it, but i wish there was a way to also have the classic startmenu (the popup one)Some people complain that their cdr or dvdr drives arent working, but mine work and they burn correctly.Dont ask me where to download longhorn, as you cant from any website, but there are other ways :PIf anyone else has longhorn or has seen something about it, post a comment here

  7. it would be awesome, but i prefer to do the work, i mean come on, sometimes ya just gotta move, lol, but then you have those couch potato days that would be perfect for it... i aleady have a remote for every infared device in the house, and also meda players, and computers, so im not that far off, i believe you can get an infared remote thing for a lightswitch, so yeah.

  8. actually, widnows 98 was robably microsoft's finest creation. Windows XP is full of bugs and holes, but 98 worked like a charm (for me, anyway) I just didn't like that retro-style look.

windows 98 has more security loopholes than xp when it comes to hacking, well from what ive seen anyway, it is even easier to hack the windows password on it.

And i have a 512mb card on my iPAQ and i use that to play some dvds, music videos, etc, its awesome, i love that thing, like i walked into mt dora and got on a wifi spot and started downloading music videos from a park bench!

  9. well the pocket pc uses a totally different system than the regular computers do, they share the stoarge and ram so if you run out of either it starts eating at the other, so if you run out of storage memory then you might have some problems. i just did a hard reset on my pda due to that same issue with low memory, but this will continue to happen unless you either keep the memory clean, or get an expansion card (sd, mmc, cf, whatever your device supports, i have a 512mb sd on mine now)
