Private servers are more developed than the original game.They allow us to hack (My server only) and have all these wonderful things that the original will never-ever (lots of ever's)... Have.For example.MapleGlobal will never have 10000x EXP, Drop or Meso rates.Never accept active players to become GM's.Never host daily events.Never have a job advancer.Never have boss warpers.Never have custom shops for the fellow players.Never have an ordinary person speak their thoughts on how to develop the game more.Never have custom clients.These 'Never's' have made the original game suck.Then private servers come and solve these problems.

Once again, after the giant lawsuit that OdinMS received from Nexon i suggest that you don't make private servers. Either way it's illegal.

I can tell u all that Jacky is 1 of the good Owner i ever met before. He puts a lot of effort in making a MS Server. He ask for our opinion and treat us so well. Although my country is far away from him, but i hope someday i will meet him. Jacky keep up your good work, all of us will support you !!!

As you can see people, at least someone supports private servers.
They are not as bad as you think.

And we do not steal money.
We did not ask for players to join. They came to us themselves.

What pisses me off the most is not the fact that it is illegal, it is the fact that you are hurting gamers and game developers by pulling this crap. You only give a crap about yourself and no one else.
You'd better not ever complain about game development companies making their terms of use more strict, because it is your own fault.

RuneScape has become worse through its upgrades and graphics. I don't play anymore because there are too many begging newbies asking: "GP Pl0x" and other random stuff. I was lvl 55- 60 before I quit.

IS PRIVATE SERVER UNETHICAL? My Question of that is because most Game Such as WoW Runescape Maplestory and other along the lines have private server which other people host. So Why cant the Original owners team up with the Owners of Private Servers and allow them to run the game how they want it and share the profits?You might say this doesnt make any sense because the Owners can make their own money and faster without profits, but then from the Private Server owners they are getting MORE Money Correct?

Private server don't make a lot of money.
They make some money from donations and that's about all they get.

They use the money for server upgrades and server fees.

As some of you may know, Nexon is the corporation that developed the popular MMORPG, Maplestory. OdinMS was the first Maplestory Private Server to emerge and began making their own source code for Maplestory. Soon, OdinMS released their source code to the public and Maplestory Private Servers were born. Now, Nexon is supposedly sueing OdinMS but the claims haven't been made clear yet. They got sued cause they were the root of most private servers.

I wouldn't go into private servers if I were you. Odin MS is getting a huge lawsuit from Nexon. Who knows what other privates servers might suffer the same fate.

There is nothing to fear in Private servers.
Nexon can't sue all of them, there's thousands.

Private servers can change the amount of time taken for leveling.
Plus there are many different features in Private servers, For example, rebirth, skill max...
And you can also apply for GM status.

Nexon can't compare to private servers.
Even if the server was sued, it wouldn't effect you (Except that you can't login anymore).

I would choose the speed power.Speed makes things get done fast :)But, i might go with rapidshare Cause I need to always upload files on the web.I don't know what to choose!

The thing about MMORPG private servers, are that there are too many of them.Ask yourself:"?Is it worth creating a private server to attract player when there are already thousands out there?""Is it worth creating a private server and getting sued?""Is it worth it to use up RAM and Internet to host one?""Is it worth it to get hacked?""Is it worth it competing against other servers knowing that they are much better than you?"Is it worth it in the end?I say, it is.When you're creating a private server of your own, have a think about these things.And be careful out there.P.S: If you have decided to make a MapleStory private server and are having problems, feel free to PM me. I would have to say that (my opinion) MapleStory is good game to play and meet people online.
