  1. Ok here goes my reply (lol!):FSO means First Star Online, which was the name of the first FSO game. But, FSO was dirived from the name of the scripting it uses mostly: FileSystemObject.NWO, I do not know much of all that it is a newer type of FSO with SOME upgraded stuff. The software needed to create an FSO b37 is a b37 server, and source code. But, slim has now declared b37s (except those bought at unfungames) ILLEGAL.For a legal version, you need the 1.2 server and source code, but those unfortunately, are very rare so they cost about $50 EACH.And as for hosting, I'm not sure yet how to do some coding so the server program is running 24/7. Otherwise, you would need to find someone that is: not beind a router, has HIGH speed internet, and has computer on 24/7. Now this can be a tricky job, there are quite a few people who are out there who will take over the game as soon as you send it to them, so you REALLY need to look over what others know of him/her. Well, gotta go, ttyl.

  2. I am the head admin (not owner) of an FSO game. And we are having problems with our host, he is greedy, and taking over the game. So, we want to put the server (our program we have to have RUNNING) onto.... the server (Xisto one). But since our program has to be running, I have to do a cron job to have it run. How do you code the cron job? please help.

  3. And about the apps, it happened in two days, im serious. We posted it in early morning on a few forums, then by night the next day we had like 200 apps. IM SERIOUS! It sounds crazy but it is true, everyone wanted to be staff on the 1.2 server. Oh and, if anyone knows of a admin with EXPERIENCE, please post it here, Im looking for an assistant for myself. Someone that knows how to deal with people, map, and..... I can't think of anything else for them to be. So just good with people and good at mapping. Then just post here. I will look at this a little later, I think I just got my 30 points :( .Cya all

  4. Aww sweet! Tinne (the server owner) and I would love that! Ill e-mail you in a minute. And does anyone have a source code for 1.2? Tinne got the b37 source by accident, didn't realize it until just now. Now I'm dieing to get it up, if anyone knows how to get a b37 client to connect to a 1.2 server, please post how. It doesn't seem to work for us.Thanks a bunch!

  5. There is a threat of a hacker attack on you thanks to a group of people who wanted to have fun. It allows a hacker to send you a file, then start seeing what you say to others and what you say to them. It allows them to send e-mails through that person's .NET account. And even send messages to the victims friends and it looks exactly like what the victim does. It can also block the victim from getting or sending messages. The file they have to send you though has a distinct example. It has a logo of a pencil, it is a .exe file, and it can not be opened, it says "error: file can not load" if you try and open it. So, beware, delete any files that meet that description immediately if someone sends it to you. Or you might be hacked.

  6. Woooot! Well, I am gonna head admin an fso. We just got the 1.2 server, and we finally found someone who can make the client. AND we also found a host (it couldn't have been Xisto because we needed a program running). We are looking for a couple more officers, so if anyone is interested, e-mail my boss at victor_t87@hotmail.com he will then refer you to me if he likes you. (sorry, not all apps will be accepted due to the high amount of apps. We already have about 200)

  7. Honestly, I don't think it's what you accomplish in games, but more so in your attitude towards them that make you hardcore. People say that your hardcore if you own every version of FF there is, although, for others, the might not have the money needed to buy these games.... I would more so say that it just depends on wither or not you play and love your games.

My freind you are wrong. if u beat all the friggin ffs in one month you must be an uber nerd to be able to spend a whole friggn night playing ff series just trying to take on some guys dare. the thought bring me to my knees in laughiness

    if u didnt get that

YOU MUST BE A NERD! :)

  8. Hi

Well I have always been partial to elder scrolls series, The Arena is one of my favorite ever but Morrowind just blew my mind, I still play it quite often. Daggerfall is the one that was kind of a letdown, very buggy and the levels were just too big.

As a small child the choices of *quality games* so to speak in the rpg department were small. now squaresoft has made the kingdom hears saga opening a whole new department to gamers at a young age. i was always a fan of the ff series and was wondering if there would come a day 7 year olds would remineswse about the boss battle they just finished. yet the day comes. Sadly kingdom hearts was not a game that i had expected it to be opening all aspects of rpg gaming to the younger handful of gamers. but alas i am not happy. The fact that they took ff chars and made them into small children is sickening in a way. although seeing titus that young he looked like he was clay aken or somtin.....ehehhe..... oh well. back to how it is sickening. Titus didnt play with micky mouse when he was a kid. i mean cmon. i know that they didnt steal them due to squarey workin the proj but still. it just really didnt fit into the game as hopefully as i thought it would. So to this day i await the day that games will be opened to a younger rpg crowd. not some junky game lik kh.... thats one thing that i definately know.. welll ill stop now.

  9. i have a wireless logitech mouse. personally i find it close to impossible to use a cord mouse. you must be crazy if u actualy like more wires to tangle up. i got so much stuff on my comp table that i can barely move without touchin a wire so the less wires the better in my case. i also find that most people dont bother with mouses as people tend to spend alot of money on something so basic that could cost you 5 bucks and turn it into 100 or somthing. basic and wireless are my top 2 priorities most definatley.

  10. For highschool graduation my parents said they will get me a computer. I have the choice of a desktop computer and a PDA or a Laptop computer. I am having trouble deciding which would be better. I will probably be going to the University of Missouri which, for the most part is wireless enabled. I am leaning toward the desktop, PDA solution, but suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

    Update:

Having considering my options. I have settled on a laptop. I have now begun to look for one.

Any suggestions on where to get a cheap, reliable laptop? What specs should I go with?

I have about $1500 dollars to spend and it will be used on a wireless campus primarily for office apps, multimedia, and internet browsing.

    Thanks for the help.

hmm iwulda said desk but o well. look at best by and any local comp stores like compusa for it. also look online. since your not going for a hardcore gaming computer id say your not gona be spendin all ur money there. your looking for just a basic plain old laptop. but seeign as basics are always boring... id go with something that can do what you want on free time aswell. im not saying go completely over blow your budget and add 2k to buy an alienware im thinking maybe a dell here as in they lean tworads basicness. but if you want to go out and above your expectations your going to have to break your budget buddy. Since macs are office computers not gaming computers go for one of there laptops. im not saying macs are my favorite as in that many games are not playable on them. if your looking to download things its not your exactly best choice. i myself personally bought a alienware laptop for 4k and it was love at first sight. i cant let go of it lol.

but watever you want man is wat ur getin. gl with ur shopping.

  11. i tried my friends psp and damn... i was suprised by the graphics it was able to produce but i still dont see the point of it the battery only lasts maximum of 4 hours making it not so protable... and most of the games are already on ps2 so whats the point in buying a lesser developed version on psp... plus the games costs a lot and i dont think i wanna be spending that much on a portable gaming system. but the design and everything looks very sleek and neat i would have to give them 10/10 for the looks.

  12. Hrm... What do I like in an RPG? Well a Cool character with some awesome moves is a must, and other playable characters. Awesome landscapes and music also attracts players plus the graphics helps but if the game is good then its not needed. A good plot line is also a must, a game is no good if the plot is no good.

    Hope this helps!

id say a wide variety of possibilitys and choices and a great battle system

  13. hhmm well, i have played diablo II when it first came out. i thought it was one of the most amazing games ever created... i played it day and night, but too bad i could never play it online, i saw some of my friends do it and i thought it was awesome but because of my dial up, i thought it would be too slow... anyways Diablo characters take a while to build... but i would never use a guide for it... just my opinion.

Guides like this can be very useful when building chars. Other players have good ideas about what chars do well and which don't , based on their experiences. I built this char. He was pretty fun. I made a new char, a Tesla sorc (Dreams), and the fire druid is still suited. He's a good char.
