Iv'e tried a few applications and since the last few days, aside from the windows defrag utlity, none them defrag, they just don't do anything.......Some of them reckon the MFT needs to be defragged, but there in-built support for defragging just as windows starts up, always fails, it just sits there on a loading screen and does bugger all......This used to never be a problem on previous windows xp installs, so this particular configuration must be borked somehow.Does anyone know of a utility that can defrag the MFT/PageFile etc on boot?, like the old boot from floppy software, google doesn't seem to be yeilding much unless I'm using the wrong keywords. Some games just today have started crashing on me randomly now all of a sudden also, only a few though which is a bit annoying, I think my drives have gone a little effed on me.Any help is much appreciated. I really need a new computer setup but money is tight and finding work is a pain at the moment.

Then why do male dogs some how have to come up and sniff my nuts and still mistake me for the female gender :|, or are there gay dogs or something :S (i'm being serious, it's happened on quite a few ocassions, I think there own noses are decieving them).

That's correct, iv'e seen that happen quite a fews times around here. Good on you for doing the right thing and of course adding your own opinions on the text *thumbs up!!!*.

Telling people about addictions won't help them avoid them, heck tell them what could happen even if it won't and they'll still do it, Iv'e been smoking since I was 13 after all and I'm still a heavy smoker *shrugs*.I can laugh and joke about killing without a problem, but as you said, gamers and what can for the majority tell the difference between reality and otherwise, so even though I joke about death and killing, I may not be relating to real killings and deaths .Modularity and broadening ones horizon isn't so bad a thing as long as you survive. I have a fairly open humour and open mind because of aspects like gaming and such, i'm alot more layed back (perhaps I should be a little less so though).Oh well.

Just A Digital Drawing I Recently Made... : )
Chesso replied to leafbunk's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Wow, so pretty much just using photoshop? I have PS CS2 but iv'e never made anything like that before LOL, I mostly follow interesting tutorials, but I do so much other stuff like programming, gaming, web development, skating etc that I keep forgetting where everything is and all the settings I use -
Well yeah, generally all around the world most countries have standards for a good reason.Although everyone will almost always have different experiences, and even see the same events from different views, the atmosphere is very similar, and brings alot of people to similar grounds.Like educational instutions, governments, laws, rules, general parenting techniques etc. That way, no matter how different we live and are raised, we still have alot in common eh.

So the character and the scene was drawn using a computer, damn, what tools do you use to accomplish all of that :| -
Comparing a 5 year old with dora the explorer, to a 16 year old with an FPS game is not a bright idea.By that age you should be mature and hopefully intelligent enough to know what's on and what isn't and have the capacity to restrain yourself.Do video games effect behaviour, well of course they do, just about everything effects our behaviour, otherwise we wouldn't have moods and such now would we (like our behaviour when reacting to a certain situation). However, when coming into the teen years and beyond, you should be more than capable of handling silly violent or sexual video games and only taking it for what it is.Like alot of people, I watched all the voilent and otherwise movies from the age of 5, and co-incidentally I started with video games back then too.But today, the police don't even know who I am, I have no criminial record in existance. So i'm either really bloody good at not getting caught, or voilent movies and video games and the like, haven't effected me the same way it has others. But if I can restrain myself after such prolonging, why can't anyone else, whats there excuse.

Thanks for the information, and btw you know what's funny?, just as I saw this topic, I went to go and do the updater from within FireFox and it was in the middle of downloading the update LOL.

Object Pascal is easy.GameMaker isn't that bad and if you can't or don't want to handle the Drag and Drop aspect, then your free to script it up yourself, and 3D is possible although not supported to a great extent.RPG Maker XP also has scripting support.RPG Maker 2003 has better Drag and Drop than XP (because XP drops some things in favour of scripting), but it has no real scripting.

Wow that looks nice, but why the title "digital drawing" does that have some technical meaning as far as drawing is concerned? (e.g. different from the norm).I really like the look of that character though , but I could never draw anything like that, don't have the petience. -
Well of course they sniff out bombs and drugs, because there trained too, are we? no were not lol.I'm sure there are other ways of going about it, but I guess they think they look cool with dogs or something .
-
Are you sure we can't do that, have we ever tried?Seriously, not once in mine or any other persons lifetime have I ever heard of anyone trying to, and if we don't try, how will we know or get better at such a thing eh.

Ha another Avon wannabe eh.My mum did that for awhile up in brisbane and she hates them, but she hates homecare more than anything, some friends of mine love to defile there brochures that they place on your property and then expect you to look after them lmao.I haven't heard about this though, is there any more official, on the spot information that you can give about this company?

Chesso replied to Chesso's topic in Websites and Web Designing

Windows Internet Explorer 7 Vs. Mozilla Firefox 2
Chesso replied to xboxrulz1405241485's topic in Software
Well I don't often use internet explorer and it's by far the fastest at rendering on my pc and functions much quicker, followed by firefox, followed by opera.I haven't used any others yet and Opera doesn't us emuch less ram than FireFox (although I was told different), i'm still looking for a less resource alternative to IE. -
I have Game Programming experience, VB (GDI), Delphi (GDI,DirectX), C++ (GDI,DirectX), i'm not expert but I can certainly appreciate what these game making applications are trying to do, however I still mostly prefer real programming unless I want a quick fun fix, you can make some funny and interesting things with some of these game engines.
-
Hmm yeah it doesn't look half bad, also GameMaker does have the capability of doing some reasonable 3D and netplay (multiplayer).RPG Maker XP might of interest also as I believe you can script in net play functionality and a whole lot more (RPG Maker 2003 for simpler less graphical intensive RPG's or similar games).
-
Yes it should most definitely, although I think D7 is better and I know for sure it does run on WinME, 2k and XP.Good luck!
-
Sounds good, wish there was more information, I'd love to test it and see if it runs better than CS2.CS2 can be a slightly slow.
