I'm also having the same issue with sata drives and w7. I tried: bios delete (remove battery) swapping cables swapping drives cant change config on master/slave swapping power cable configs installing w7 on different drives solution: if I leave the w7 boot disk in the drive, it loads up fine. I can only guess the problem is a conflict between ntfs and w7. Nothing much else makes sense.

How To Change, Assign And Remove Drive Letters
iGuest replied to soleimanian's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Menu item is dead. Then what? How To Change, Assign And Remove Drive Letters After major stuff (reinstalled XP with the stupid recovery of HP etc. In the process it had to take away my D: that was my data partition, because the recovery partition has to be D by default. That left my Data partition without a drive letter. Every site tells the same story, but when I right click my change letter and path or whatever is greyed out. Only delete and help are alive. ??? -reply by George -
Saudi Arabia Islamic Law Loophole: Drink Woman's Milk
iGuest replied to rob86's topic in General Discussion
As a muslim I can add the right answer to such a question. It would look like it is weird, but in islam, men or women when they drink a milk from a female's breast, they would become her child-in-law. These assumptions were justified by using Al-Quran. Hence, a man cannot marry or have sex with his mother-in-law.I hope what have been declared answers the question.Remember: everything happens for a reason.Kind Regards -
kasper sky or nod 32?NOD32 vs. Kaspersky: Which Is Better?People wh ouse kaspersky just say that its fast and good... First Use Nod 32 and tell which one is faster.. Nod 32 is a good antivirus EVEN IF ITS OUT OF UPDATES!! You know what? Nod 32 uses clever technology in threat sense, which allows it to recognize unknown virus. If u use kaspersky, please switch to nod 32 and you just check the speed. Another thing is that whenever kaspersky gets a virus, it makes a noise and disturbes when u are in middle of the game, and usually pops up a window.. Nod 32 never does that... -reply by Anas

bluetooth cell phone/car stero compatibilityBluetooth SoftwareI have an Alpine car stereo with Bluetooth. It worked flawlessly until I switched cell phone carriers and phones. AT&T to Straight Talk. I successfully paired the new phone with my Alpine stereo but neither will function at all. I talked to Straight Talk Tech support and even went to the Stereo shop where I bought my Alpine----Their conclusion: The new phone software is incompatible with my alpine stereo bluetooth system. Question: Does anyone know if I can purchase software for my new phone that would be compatible with my Alpine Stereo? The pnone is a Samung model R451c. Please Help Steve

Kaspersky or Eset NOD32?NOD32 vs. Kaspersky: Which Is Better? Both AV's are the best choice. I have a lot of clients that use NOD32 and others use KAV. Because NOD32 runs smoothly on older pc's and KAV is cheaper and have a great support. The diferences by my point of view.: NOD32.: - runs smoothly on old/low computers, faster and easy to use, simple user interface and faster updates KAV.: -massive anti-virus atack , best heuristic system, lower price... But fake alarms sometimes... anyway its good! better fake alarms than allow bad stuff infect the computer. Now you decide. Download them and check by yourself. Good luck! -reply by Kancerion

Debates like this go around for days. I was talking to my roommate last night who got a girl fired @ Applebee's the other night while we were at dinner. I won't go into the story because it's not important. What's important is that he considered her racist because she made some remark about asking the fellow bartender to use his asian calculation skills to help her with her ticket. I think that's a compliment to asian people as well as to the fellow bartender (who was white not asian). There was no hate accept by my roommate who asked the girl what nationality do you think I am? (Ok I'm gonna paraphrase the story). She asked "African American?" He said "I ain't never been to Africa a day in my life! I'm american!" Then he proceeded to tell me that she was a racist (the female was white by the way). I don't know about you but the person who seems racist in the scenario seems to be my roommate. He told the manager that she asked if he was African and the manager fired her on the spot (I walked aut before knowing the nationality of the manager).I hate to say it but I agree with a previous statement about predominantly black neighborhoods being run down or crime ridden. This a stereotype that I have found to be true in the cases where I have been. In Fayetteville, NC in the areas that are predominantly black are low income, high crime areas. Now, everyone has a choice. No one has to live in an area like that. If you hang out with people like that you are going to become like people like that. However, if you are from a bad background, monitarily speeking, you can change it by changing your habits and your surroundings. Join the army or something. That is the easiest way to get out of your bad area. Now, not all neighborhoods that are low income are bad. I grew up in a low income neighborhood in California that was predominantly White and Hispanic. It was a great neighborhood. People were friendly, neighbors stopped to talk, people were generally nice to one another. I'm not saying it's because it was a white or hispanic neighborhood, I'm only stating that it was a good neighborhood and those were the demographics. Now, descrimination and stereotyping will never leave because they are part of human nature. The brain uses these things to help with mental catagorization. If you saw a chevy van and you thought "man those things always look run down, have high emmissions and have no power" and you drove around it because you didn't want to get stuck behind a vehicle that is going to smoke you out of your car, you are stereo typing and descriminating. However, if you saw one that looked clean, quiet and was in perfect running condition it would take you by surprise because it doesn't fit your past encounters with these types of vans. Your brain processes this and say's "Well, it's not 100% right but there aren't enough filing cabinets in here to file this completely differently from the others.... so I'll just file it with the others and change the heading to 'almost 100%'"Now, Racism is simply a catagorization that says that one race of people has different characteristics, abilities, socioeconomic status, etc. This thought process happens all the time. How about when people think "Man the US is the best country in the world because we have X, Y and Z! We're better than other countries so we must bring these things like capatalism to other counries so that they are not crappy any more" Sound Familiar? Now prejudice is 1:aversive or hostile attitude toward a person who belongs to a group, simply because he belongs to that group, and is therefore presumed to have the objectionable qualities ascribed to that group. 2:injury or damage resulting from some judgment or action of another in disregard of one's rights. This sounds like our country as a whole. If it wasn't going on on a gobal scale it wouldn't be going on on a local scale and visa versa. If anything in this post bothers you, good. It's meant to. It's meant to be a wake up call that no one is without decrimination or stereotype. Even racism and prejudice are common. Martin Luther King, Jr faught peacefully for what he knew was right. He was an upstanding citizen BEFORE he did it, though. He always acted with respect to others, strength in conviction and his presentation was always done with proper english with proper pronunciation. No slang or ebonics or draw. People sound uneducated when they use any of these things in speech; white, black, mexican, asian, etc all included. You want someone to treat you equally than earn it don't try to bring people down to your level to get something, come up to thiers and they will treat you as an equal no matter what nationality you are in most cases. There, I've said it.

Hey guys, okay so i have a boyfriend named Jessie and yes, we get into arguements but to the girls or boys out there, if you get into an arguement or fight, that means the relationship is going very well. You need to get into arguements or fights once in a while but if it's constantly happening, then you guys aren't ment to be.My story is, my boyfriend and i, got into plenty of arguements in the past but now it's changed. we hardly talk anymore, we hardly see eachother or hang out and because of that, i'm loosing feelings for him. i asked a plenty of people and they would say "break up with him". i know other people's opinions don't matter to some of you but to me it does. (specific people only) Even one of his bestfriends told me to, and i think i am but i know it will also hurt his feelings so i don't know what to do anymore. Everytime i try to tell him he would get mad and just think of an excuse to say to me. For example "i'm busy" "i'm going out" "i'm going to my friends or cousins house", etc. Can anyone help me ?

I think these are really great tips that will definitely make a huge difference in the lives of some people, if this were to ever happen to them. There's just one thing I wanted to comment on. I'm a full-time student studying social work in Canada, and naturally, I have courses in which I learn counselling skills. Right now I'm in my last semester, but last term, the professor for one of my counselling courses often shared stories from her career before she began teaching. She worked for her entire life as a crisis counsellor, specifically helping survivors or sexual assault. At one point, she had moved down to New York, USA, to help with the crisis following 9/11, but she also worked at a sexual assault and rape crisis centre there, at which women who were survivors of domestic violence could also seek refuge. One morning she was telling us a story of one of her co-workers. Anyone who's been to a women's crisis centre knows how secure they are. You need pass codes to get through goodness knows how many doors, and they're typically in areas that are safer and harder to locate. Well, this one co-worker was on her way to work one morning, and she was followed in by a man (don't know how), stepped into the elevator, and inside the elevator, the man raped her, beat her with a crowbar and then also raped her with the crowbar. Which is why I kind of did a double take when I saw that staircases are safer than elevators. I wholeheartedly believe that, in general, they probably are safer, but danger can happen anywhere, even in elevators. Not to mention that if you're cornered in an elevator, you've got nowhere to go until that door opens again. Still really great tips, but caution precedes any sort of self-defense mechanism -- always be aware of your surroundings.Anyways, I was looking for stuff like this because I'm veering away from social work and studying criminology next year (or criminal profiling). Plus, being a female, the tips regarding rape situations (I find) are vital and really informative. And considering the amount of muggings I read about occurring in the surrounding cities where I live, these tips are great for males, too. Most of the people being mugged around here are males, so there's value for everyone here. Thanks for sharing!

quote: "Think of what the word itself says. Common-isim." uh actually the word is more intended to be like "commune-ism" which essentially means communal living where people all share labor and produce between eachother without any other thing they want in return (ie. Money)

I am mostly against animal testing. I think cosmetic research and any kind of test that can be done with a human without inflicting serious harm should be banned. I understand that some things NEED to be tested, like vaccinations, etc. But things like make up, shampoos, etc... can be performed with a human just fine. Pay a few homeless people, or take volunteers from prisons. They will WILLINGLY do it if money or something of want is involved. Now lab mice, they over populate alot, and using them to test VIABLE things that could help us is fine. I read about how research facilities, while providing good conditions for animals MOST of the time, experiment in pretty messed up ways. For example, one facility opens up a dogs chest, places clamps on a artery connected to the heart, sews it back up, then makes it run on a treadmill until it has a heart attack and dies. Others electrically shock them until they have cardiac arrest, then bring it back only to do it ALL OVER AGAIN. That stuff should be banned, as it only proves things we already know, and contributes nothing at the expense of the lives of thousands of animals each year. So as long as it actually HELPS, and it isnt a product, then it should be ok.
