To start out, Admins and Mods. I searched for this topic and could not find anything related to discussing the end of the world. If there is one, feel free to close the topic. I know this has been a popular topic in some forums.
I have heard much about the end of the world, I discuss this in many different forums that I am a member of. (I debate religion a lot and go to different forums for fun) I find that many people say it will end with a rapture, others think armegeddon, still other think there are aliens invasions waiting to happen. So, I would like to discuss and debate this topic over the next several days and find out a few things. I would like to know what the majority belief is, and what the truth is behind the end of the world. Here, you can express your beliefs, I will be coming along as usually in my debates and ask some questions and hopefully get into a debate about a specific topic. I welcome all to join in this and would ask that you come back and check to see if anyone replies to your reply. Thanks guys. Ready,.. set,... go!

have recently started using COSMOMC for carrying out parameter estimation and found it extremely useful and versatile. However, there are few things I am unable to understand and am facing some problems. Kindly give me some suggestions.
1) I would like to do a COSMOMC run with only the WMAP TT data excluding the TE data which as I understand means putting "num_cls" equal to 1. Accordingly I changed the value of "num_cls" (wherever it exists) but it gives an error "MCMC could not start after 1000 tries....." What is going wrong? Am I missing something!
2) I would also like to run COSMOMC but with a scale invariant power spectrum fixing the spectral index, ns (=1). I tried fixing the value in power_tilt.f90 as well as fixing ns parameter values to 1 in 'params.ini' but none of them worked.
3) I would like to change the CAMB part to use my own set of inflationary parameters so as I understand I have to replace the power_tilt.f90 routine with my own routine (primarily the scalar and tensor power parts of it). Which are the other files which need modifications. Also I would like to know where in the CAMB part do you fix (or you vary) the value of scalar to tensor power amplitude. I have read the FAQs and readme sections as well.
Kindly give inputs/suggestions. Thanks.

do you think it good move? they say company like VONAGE will become big business it has received more tham 300 million from investors, I feel sorry for those guys because. Most land line are very cheap around the world. Why world someone get a internet and use his internet as phone and pay some one plus the voice quality is crap and the call goes true internet and we all know how unreliable internet is .

google talks new and bteer than others.google talk is a VOIP, and media likes to call VOIP a telephone even it is just a email witha voice, they add dial tone to the software to make it like a real telephone and most media people should know that a dial tone is doest not make peace of sofware into a telephone , how can you call it a phone when you can't call to other real phones.

I think you can't compare IE with FireFox mainly because IE was developed by bigger team with much larger budget.The only reason that FireFox may seem safer is not because it better made it i because it is less targeted by the worm/virus makers. it will change when they start to take it.

first of all USA and USA government are 2 different thing. I and 90 % world do not agree with W's wars.
but american people are like any other people in the world.
Some people may like USA because of movies and TV and they may think all americans live lik that. most of the people like usa as a country because it is rich and diverse with multicultural people.

Hey all.... Next year my truck is finally paid off (Great truck I love it, but I bought it at the wrong time and made the wost deal of my life on a vehicle.... but I digress), and after that we are going to be looking into buying a travel trailer. Because my truck is only a 1500 (1/2 ton) I'm looking try and do a few things to increase the horse power and tork on it. 1) Change the exhaust (probably go with a flow master setup) 2) Change the intake system (like a K&N setup) 3) Change the computer chip. Now the intake & exhaust systems I'm pretty good at (I built me a 1970 hot rod Chevy Nova... I miss that baby). However the computer chips I have no experience in changing, which brands are good, etc... Any one have any experience, or know any website or magazines worth reading on the subject? Thanks!

I am a strong beliver in the evolution theory. I really belive in science more then in God. You will wonder why... For one thing the evolution theory is probably right. It's not that hard to imagine a human as a better monkey since only 2% of our genetic material is different. Not to mention that the proofs cannot be denied. I take it for granted...
I never saw God stoping an earthquake or decembers tsumani waves. You'll say that was a punishment ... but what was the guilt of a kid who died in that horrible day in december. Everybody has a pet. ask your self how is this evolution theory borned, basicly an old man was alone alomost uninhabited island , then he saw some animals then he went to nearby island then he sow different island, one of the animals had in his oponions more suitable body for this new island.

i personally think evolution is all a piece of crap. How can a human can be made from a monkey? they have no proof of that.. theya re finding skeletons of probbaly some kind of animals that existed before. If humans came from monkeys.. than why hasn't it happened now? i think that whoever believes in evolution does not believe in god even if they say so. Three religions that are true and they are really very much alike, the only thing that differs is their belief in Jesus, those are Judaism,Christianity, and islam. For Budhaism and Hinduism and all those others.. i have no idea how those religions came and i don't think they are similar to these three. Also evolution is a reason why there are so many people that don't believe in god because they teach it to kids ins chool and many kids don't go to churches/masques. I think that subject should be banned from school.

when I went to highschool , I probably looked like a nerd because I didn't care about how I dress or how I look. I just wanted to get into the Uni. I started going out with my BF since then though.
Now I'm at the University of Oxford...and I'm doing law. For non-law students, law students are often nerd to them. But in comparison to other law students here, I am not at all a nerd. And I care more about myself. haha.
Now during holiday when I go back to my country, nobody thinks I'm a nerd coz I do get dressed etc etc.
