  1. If the thing ruining your life is multi-billion dollar company or a terrible government there's not much you can do. People don't kill themselves just because of other people. I agree- if one man/woman was making my life miserable I'd be tempted to pay a group of people to beat them up or sue.
  2. L0L WUT? Didn't really get this paragraph.. But I completely agree on all the other points. My problem isn't with stupid people who try to act smart, at least they care about self image. No- I hate stupid people who are fine with their stupidity and actually use it to get friends. I think the private school system (Yup that's me) should start kicking out hundreds of pupils for getting low test scores and low grades. I know there's a risk this will turn into an anti-wigger topic, but I agree with the MySpace thing. If white kids want to use words like 'Pimp' and 'Hoes' then they should probably think about what they're saying first. - Pimps are in essence the scum of the earth. I cannot think of someone I'd rather see die than a pimp. They get money by selling female sex slaves that they've doped up to ensure loyalty. - Whores are either women in terrible situations looking to make just enough money to scrape by, or they're foreign women who've been beaten up, drugged and made to sleep in a crack den when not having sex with greasy western. Saying that you've sold your myspace page for sex, and then calling any internet user who views your page a sexual vessel doesn't make you sound that smart.. Good topic, if not a little hard to understand.
  3. I'm a Protestant so I don't have too much against it. If life is really so unbearable and you're not just doing it because you girl/boyfriend ditched you then I think it's a persons choice. As for the torture, I myself would rather kill myself than experience such crushing pain. I can only imagine how hard it is to kill yourself with no help from tall buildings/weapons/water so my respects go to all hostages/soldiers who have gone belly up as opposed to giving away information or allowing themselves to be used by their captures.I have never considered killing myself as their's nothing wrong with my life, but I can see many many scenarios where it's the only option. I don't blame for instance, the business men who killed themselves at the time of the Wallstreet crash- life for them could've gone on, but it would've been a terrible life filled with poorness and strife.
  4. That's one of the best parts of owning an illegal copy though? I currently own an illegal copy of Windows XP that I downloaded from MiniNova. I originally owned a copy of Windows Xp Oem w/o a disk. Let's just say my computer died and I couldn't afford a new copy. Microsoft have offered such a poor service- A DISTURBINGLY POOR SERVICE. I wouldn't mind if they lost billions of dollars over night as it may make them more humble and bring back that spark of originality that's been lost recently (I'm talking Vista). Until they improve standards I'm not paying for another Microsfot endorsed product unless it's hardware. P.s> I'm amazed how easy it was to find an illegal copy that worked (I did have to sift through about two mislabeled copies).
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't 'Stoo-pid' an American dialect pronunciation? I've never heard any English people pronounce it that way soo.. Yes. It's just an accent thing, don't be hatin'.
  6. Wow- this topic is nearly two years old! Anyway, there's a video tutorial here. There's an insanely professional speed drawing here. But I'd recomend the first link if you've just started out.
  7. You should probably link back to the first tutorials- which I liked quite a lot, particularly the way you described the creation of a competent beat. This last tut is kind of lacking. Also it's hard to read because the paragraphing and spelling is all over the place. I wouldn't have minded a picture as well, a 'Finished song' screenshot to show the viewer what should have been achieved- even if it's different to theirs. It's okay, but next time you write a tutorial you should use a spellchecker and pack it all into one topic by using less text and only linking to images as opposed to posting them. Good job on spending so much time to create this!
  8. A length ways shot of the two turntables (TT1610) surrounding the mixer (DM950). Yup, after a lot of planning and deciding I finally got my Turntables. I was inspired after seeing alot of work on them; I heard alot of 'Grandmaster Flash' as a kid and just recently I've been impressed with 'DjRavine'. Another Christmas present, a fantastic and underrated remix. I was given the following records as a present: Sugarhill - Rappers Delight (Long version) 12" Beastie Boys - No Sleep 'Till Brooklyn / Time to get Ill / Fight for your Right to Party! 12" Chic - I want your love / Good Times 12" Dj Tiestio - Adagio for Strings (Wrongun! Remix as pictured above) 12" House of Pain - Jump Around / Jump Around Remix1 / Jump Around Remix2 / The House of Pain Anthem 12" The RPM buttons, the speed adjuster and the arm. I'm just here to post some pictures. I've set the TurnTables up on the floor as I'm lacking in table space at the moment, but from what I've seen I've been given a very professional kit. I still need to work on my beat matching, and for that I really need some good speakers- something else I'm lackign at the moment. Oh my.. WEEEEEEE! Yes, it'a playing a record! You wouldn't believe some of the things I've been trying to mix. My dad's given me some James Brown vinyls and I've been combining his powerful singing with the powerful beats of Dj Tiesto's master piece- in other words it sounds crap. Hope to hear from any fellow Djs here just for some information on what kit they use and what they mix. Bye people.
  9. Damn I hate these sites. People are always using TinyUrl to hide there 'My MiniCity' address and reaping more members than competition as a result. At least you had the curtesy to ask, you're one of the few who play the game without cheating and to get such a high ranking is impressive.
  10. For the last few months I've seen an increasing amount of comic rap on YouTube. It's always the same setup- a white college student makes a video of himself rapping about things in a gangster style. A recent example was a YouTube 'Comedian' made a rap about being an average guy. Needless to say it followed all the basic rules: gang hand symbols, dressing up like a gangster, joking about how un-gangster he was. The video got relatively good marks and comments remarking how intelligent and fresh this style of comedy was. It would be fresh, and intelligent had it been new- but it's been done before. To death. When Weird Al Yankovich made a parodyy of 'Gangster's paradise' he called it 'Amish paradise'- people went crazy over the song. I have some friends who prefer it to the original (Not me) and know the words of by heart (Me ). The reason everybody liked it was because it was the first time a professional artist had released a rap parody to the masses. It was also quite well done- arguably Weird Al's best song. He had people in the market cornered because something like this was so fresh and daring- so daring that he got in trouble with Coolio (The original's creator) because of the level of piss-taking. What people on YouTube need to learn is that some things are intended to be funny for a while- and not intended to be cruise control for lazy comedians. I think people should at least put some effort into making parodies in the future. There's a Christmas Rap on YouTube at the moment which I can't bear to watch as I'm going to assume it's a bunch of white guys jigging around- no matter how good spirited it is. Merry Christmas! WHAT YOU THINK N****S?! - Feedback thanks!
  11. TURNTABLES! A bit spur of the moment when requesting presents- but there was a cheap deal and I wanted to get in on the act. I'm getting: 2 x TT1610 Turntables (Vinyl) 1 x DM950 Mixer (Not great, but for Ł30 it's not exactly troublesome to upgrade) That's pretty much it for known presents. I have a sneaky feeling that I'm getting a few 12" vinyls containing some of my favourite tracks. It's a win win situation for everyone (Particularly me). I'm sure you could get a much sweeter laptop with a $1m budget.
  12. We kinda' already established the reason why it worked more than a year ago, but thanks for the vigilante style mystery solving you did there.
  13. Wow- Halo 2 got more votes than Halo 1. I've got to sya that I've never been a fan of Halo; a friend of mine owns all in the series and loves them with a passion.I'm more of a Half Life 2 person myself. I was playing it not ten minutes ago! What amazes me about Half Life 2 is the high quality of the graphics and the low use of power. Steam (The creating company) are usually crap at making anything that works for more than ten minutes- but hats off to them for this game. An example of how to pack a big game into a small package.I also really enjoy the controls of Half Life 2- whilst they're practically identical to all other FPS games, something about them makes for an incredibly easy to play game. The gun moves at exactly the right speed; when you jump you know exactly where you're going to land- something that I've not experienced in other games. Finally, I'd vote it as the best because of it's awesome story. I was a fan of Half Life 1 and HL2 is a fine continuation. I never got the point with other games- Halo has a terrible plot, doom is just a killing rampage and WOW is just a pick and mix bunch of quests. I actually care about the characters in Half Life- what's more is the amount of emotion Gordon Freeman displays for a guy who never says anything and only follows the players movements.
  14. Sorry, I'm really sick of people saying that countries such as England and America are racist just because they're in power. Here's the deal- black's and asians have been fully intergrated into society and funds have been set up to help those who're poor (More so in England because of high levels of liberlism) .Now we look at countries like France and Japan. France's own government refused to view North Africans as French for years. Paris has even worse immigrant crime than England because they simply out cast anybody who's Arabic or Black. I went through the town of Morzine inf France with a friend, and within our month visit we saw one black person; he was a street cleaner. Now Japan. I know it sounds strange seeing as Japanese people live in a society based upon freedom and sharing- but they're probably one of the most racist countries in the world. Companies in Japan- more so than anywhere else in the world- hire people because they're Japanese. It's mostly in the employment and business sector that's bad- but it quite often spills out into social areas and education, e.g. Schools only allowing Japanese kids in. With that said- Japanese people are still some of the most friendly people in the world, and this is the point I'm making. Just because people have problems- does it make them bad/evil. I agree with this however.

    I Hate Wiggers

It should. I think it's perfectly acceptable for a black person to use the N word. It's like me calling a friend a honkey: it's not offensive when I say it. If a white person refers to another white person as the N word, then he is suggesting that both he and the person at the other end of the conversation are black, making him a Wigger.
  16. Eric Koston. I mean, the guys a legendary street skater- even if he's lacking abit in the air department.. He has some amazing manual combos, e.g. Manualling, nollying, grinding a rail, manualling, nollying onto a grind on a table ledge, back into manual, pogoing and then finishing with a kickflip.EDIT: W00! 100th post. NOW I'M THE COOL ONE!
  17. Nothing much. Still adding the finishing touches to my site. If everyone's incredibly nice to me; I may post a link. :D

    How's it hanging in Canadia?

  18. Unless this is copied from another source you've managed to categorize things quite nicely. Again- I'd put a really big warning about the Registry Key deleting one; something with big red text.. I've never heard of some of these before. The reoccuring backspace sounds like fun, and the forced blue screen could freak an experienced computer user out. I will most certainly bookmark this topic for future reference. It's a shame so many of my friends use Macs. :PAlso, this is the wrong section.
  19. It's a great book and a very important document from WWII. I read it in year six- the only thing is it's just another excuse to teach less. In Britain the history department bangs on about how the war effected the children and ruined their lives: personally I'd rather learn about how my Grandfather and friends fought, and Hitler (Who is undoubtadly a genius as far as battles are concerned) and his techniques of warfare and unions made with other countries. I'd also like to learn about the Nazi occupation of places like France and Norway (My home country). But instead I spend about three years learning about the bleeding avacuees and how hard they had it (E.g. Living with people in.. *Gasp* THE COUNTRYSIDE)! Anne Frank is pretty much the same- there are simply far more important people than her, for example; the Corey Ten Boom family and Maximilian Kolbe.
  20. I find that googling things is too much hard work as well. It's the diary of a German Jewish girl hiding from the Nazis during WWII whilst they collected people for concentration camps. She hid inside an annex with her family and friends until one day the Germans burst in after the group's location was given to the Nazis. Whilst in a concentration camp she died at the age of 15. Her diary is one of the most in depth looks into WWII as it is written not only by someone being persecuting in Germany but of a child.
  21. It's medium professionalism for an art site and highly professional for a personal site. Saint Michael, I think this is a great use of simple design. Usually I find myself struggling to differentiate between the artists work and the work of the web designer. You however have managed to make navigation and layout so simple that the art stands out from everything on the page, the first thing my eyes are drawn to on the page is the moving picture slideshow. Two points though. I think the logo would do nicely if it wasn't covered up so much by the artists quote. If you made it about 9px font and aligned it to the right the user would be able to appreciate the art in the background. Another point is the bottom navigation. I'd darken the images and use a low opacity, white font rather than a slightly garish yellow. Apart from that it's fine- I'm using Firefox and I can't see Jlhaslip's flickering when I hover. Good job again- I'm supposed to be designing my church's website at the moment and I know what it's like trying to make a clear design with a short amount of time and strict guidelines.
  22. Sure... As for the source code. People have been on the verge of describing how it's done but no one has hit the nail perfectly. When you copy the Java clients source code it naturally chooses the .far file from localhost, miniclip simply replaces localhost with http://www.runescape.com/. Or they've been allowed a copy- the source code isn't exactly a guarded secret, people have managed to decompile on a number of occasions.
  23. My account has also been suspended. I assume I haven't broken the rules as I recieve no confirmation.Should we post if our accounts have been suspended, or is this a problem that will be resolved automatically?
