  1. This is a dicey question. We do need cendrship but not blind censorship. For example can we allow our children to be exposed to frontal nudity. No we cannot, this of course is of lesser importance when it comes to books, but by and large its a question of censorship. At the same time it is difficult to say how much should be censored and how much is to be allowed. THere is no fixed criteria but there are some unspoken standards in the society and these must be respected at all costs.Censorship is required but in measured doses, especially in a society that is noto mature enough to accept all forms of behaviour and expression!!doc.

  3. Hi There,I think it is a reality if India and China progress the way they are today. First , i think this may happen earlier than thought. And remember the US has got a poltical system that is self-correcting to a greater extent. Its not so deep down that it can bounce back. In other words, for the rise of a bipolar world the fall of US is necessary. Secondly there are a lot of factore that need to be overcome before India and China can dream of becoming superpowers. These factors can drain them of their resources before they become anything other than what they are today. Thirdly there is another sitaution, though it sounds very improbable it is likely ...what if these two forces come together then even the mighty US will move out of their way.BDB

  4. Hi,I would say for ease of use Windows is the best ...and there can be no second thoughts about it. But there are a few quirky things in this OS that makes you sometimes either tear off your hair form their roots or go up in fumes!! Linux based OS are a definitely better ooption. In my opinion ther is a lot of catching up to do for Linux based systems but I sense that the day is not far when Linux systems will give windows a run for its money. I particularly fancy SuSe linux.BDB

  6. Oh my God!Such a horrific movie. Its too much of a story to digest. Suppossed to be a cross betweena horror movie and Matrix-type-special-effects. And good lord! why the hell did Keanu Reeves take up thi sassignment? I didn't like it a bit. And now I am going to be careful about the future releases of Mr keanu Reeves.BDB

  7. Hi guys,Good to see oyu start this forum. You are right when you say participation in such forums as far as Asians are ocncerned is very low. But I do not think it is because we are ashamed or do not have time. I feel we are not familiar with the concept or method. The concept of bulletin board was started in the west and there fore it would take some time before anyone form Asia would start using the forums regularly. Morevove people are more comfortable speaking in their mother tongues rather than in English which to many is foreign!!BDBP.S: I am an Indian and I am proud to be an ASian and i have no reason to be ashamed abotu it.
