the best game programming languages... um... um...aha... not C++ not C, defenitely not assembler but Lua, yes Lua indonesian for moon (i think) it uses low system resouces, easy to learn, and pretty easy to debug. games that I know have been programmed in Lua is Supreme Commander. I'm slowly trying to learn Lua in my spare time, but for some reason aren't interested.PHP=WebLua=GamesAssembler=AV products (i.e. NOD32)C++=normal programsJAVA=UI interfacesetc

I heard that although google treat their employees like VIPs I heard that their salaries are rock bottom (around US$35,000 for a e-engineer)but they still do get VIP-features on google's share market and stuff.

now we come back to Everybody Loves Xisto, Xisto was alright but since season 3 (autumn) its been going downhill.Yep, thats realpeople don't make good topics anymore and the search feature is not very effective, when I search for something like 'making money online' like 95% of all the results are completely unrelated to 'Making money online'.I'm not saying that Xisto is bad but it just has been going downhill since season 3

hey, its 50/50anyway, I kinda like being a mod since I have been one one this other wierd forum. But being a mod means you have alot of reasponsibility knocking on your door. So for me more of a 50/50 meaning that is I was offered the job to become a mod i'd take it but otherwise I wouldn't apply, even though somewhere deep inside me there is always that extremely low frequency signal telling to do something.

How To Make Your Pc Silent? Best Products for a Quiet Computer
csp4.0 replied to Dodger's topic in Science and Technology
you could try putting specialised foam in the case, my friend did it and it work very well, also change as much of you cooling systems to passive cooling, good lukc on your silent computer -
it actually depends, I've slept naked on a number of occasions such as when my undergarments still aren't dry. Otherwise I sleep fully clothed (nights are so cold)!

I agree and disagree, my teachers don't give out any homework but we finish any unfinished work at home, so we actually give ourselves homework. I used to have a teacher that doesn't beleive in homework so never gave any, but we still did homework when we didn't finish our work.Homework from teachers=BADHomework from us=GoodNo Homework at all=Very Good

ok, this is a really bad idea. This could possibly be one of the worst decisions ever. First it would make us vulnerable, andy person that has access to the system will know where anyone is. And remember JFK? how he was assassinated? yes this device could be used as a homing beacon for some type of missile and it'll invade our privacy because who knows what the 'company' that made it put inside it. Like the Doctor Who episode 'The Age of Steel' they could easily put stuff like mind control devices, timed-release devices etc

First Known Planet To Survive Red-giant Phase Found

by that time (if predictions about how old the sun is are correct) then we should already be having alliances with other intelligent species and would be able to either teleport earth to some other place or we can find a new home -
Has anyone seen the stargate atlantis episode "The Game" well if you haven't here is some info on how this episode fits in with this topicThe ancients built satellites that relay "Information" to these recievers so that they could tell the people what to do, this was done as social experiment to see which way creates a technological race first. The controllers were called "The Oracle" that would give the people commends on what to do.Now lets modify this a bitWhat if the "Oracle" is lets just say God? well instead of giving us direct commands through a interface device, what if he/she influences us through ways we don't understand. And we might be forced to fight against another "Oracle" or a "Thing" that is trying to let us know that we are being controlled indirectly by something through a nueral link?

I commonly get the hiccups, and have developed a effective way of stopping themwhen you hold your breath about 3-4 seconds later you should feel a hiccup being suppressed if hiccups continue then continue holding your beathPS when holding your breath hold as much air as your lungs will hold or it will not suppress the hiccup enough for it to stopIt Works!

But what if there are many other things that could support the whales, they might be 'black smokers' who don't have to go to the surface to breath, and that incident where this guy was on a sailing boat and then suddenly some creature with a smooth back swims below his boat and he almost falls off, he says its too big to be a whale, so he thinks its a new type of typhoon submarine that the russians are building

EVERYONE IS WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! I understand you very well, spending money to use buy that ATI GPU on a nVidia chipset is awfully risky, but if something goes wrong you should be able to RMA'it or something. But if it is risky why would HP mass produce it? You know how everyone says that dual core is enough, that quad core is too much? THEY ARE WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Didn't you see that demo on intel's home page saying why you should get quad-core? they had the game Ice-Storm-Fighters on and show how it looks with 4 cores and how it looks with 2 cores, my goodness the 2 core simulation was so laggy it looks like my computer playing SupCom And with SupCom in mind, it is designed to take advantage of more cores, there are mods to make it use all 4 cores as well here is a link with some random dude talking about why you should get quad core: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and last of all, NO 1 8600GTS will not overpower 2 2600XTs and if you would tell us your budget, it would be really helpful in deciding what graphics card you should get GA-N680SLI-DQ6 Ok I lied, this is the last one. Don't get that motherboard, it doesn't support Quad-Core processors even though it says so, V.1 of the BIOS does not support 4 cores, so you'll need an older CPU to start it if it comes with V.1 of the BIOS. I recommend this mobo as V.1 BIOS supports quad core processors Remember "Dual Core, Do More" and "Hard-Core, Quad Core" and don't forget "Dual Core processors open the door to gaming" but... "Quad core processors blow the door right open" -
I already chosen my graphics card, and this is just out of curiosity since I was watching a debate at school couple'la months back, these peopl were argueing about which card is better. So if you had enough money, and you had a full ATX case with 10 fans, would you get the GTX or ULTRAPS not talking about which brand Gigabyte, XFX, ASUS etc, just the nVidia Standard i.e. 575MHz GTX Core Clock, so mot overclockedPS v.2 I found this MSI 8800 Ultra on Newegg that costs only US$600, pretty cheap when you see its core/memory clock. PS v.3 This is just an opinion, but personally I think 2 8800ULTRAS (standard) in SLI will either overheat you entire computer (if you don't have sufficient cooling) or, it'll act as a heater
-
Just out of curiosity I want to here your opinion, if you were making a computer and there was a choice of a 8800GTX and a 8800Ultra which one would you take. The logical answer would be the 8800ULTRA since it has higher clock speeds, better looking etc but I've heard some people say that the 8800Ultra overheats your computer, too big, and uses too much power.Others say that the 8800GTS is much more worth the money, what do you prefer?

I just found it http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ here is proof that some crazy guy from a commercial company (HP-Voodoo) has made a computer that has a 680i Chipset and just put a couple'la ATI cards in there, there is proof. But I would still stay on the safe side and just buy a 8600GTS is you're on a budget or go all out and buy a 8800Ultra like what I'm doing (they are actually quite cheap, can get them for US$570 from newegg. -
hehehe, this is pure evil, but something even more evil will be to put glad-wrap on the toilet seat.Anyway I can't wait to find out what happens, but you will need to freeze the mentos pretty quickly to stop it going all soggy, but now that I say this how about this idea. Freeze mentos (no ice) till you get a core temperature of around -18C freeze salted water to around -18C then put the mentos in the firdge on the lowest setting and when the core temperature of the mentos is around 1C and the salted water is just above its freezing point turn the freezer to its lowest temperature, and drop the mentos into the slated water and it should take around 2min for the water to completely freeze.Soggy mentos=no fizzremember to use diet coke though, normal coke doens't really work well

the computer I'm building has similar specs, but from what i've learned that power supply isn't even near what you need, I recommend this power supply http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ the wattage may seem small but can support 2x 8800GTSs' and has got good reviews. Now about using a ATI card on a nVidia chipset is not a good idea, it might work but there could be serious concequences. Worst case scenario: you turn on your computer and the graphics card and mobo burn out, but if the have the time to know then i recommend asking a professional near you (and please PM me the results since all the nVidia GPUs are so expensive, but the only mobo i could find that suited my needs was an ASUS nForce 680i SLI MOBO). Good luck on building that PC of yours. PS if I were you I'd just go for a case with no PSU -
I would like the ability to imitate other abilities, so I can have invisibility, super speed, but I doubt that I can have them all at the same time.I always wanted the ability to imitate other abilities

I remember when I had this girl in my class who got $10 prize for 100% attendance to everything, including all the exursions, the meetings the works, I have only skipped school once when I couldn't talk because part of my gum had swollen, I could still go to school but not being able to talk made me feel real bad. This is the only time I ever skip school

your idea of the lochness monster may be true for a couple of years after the ice age, but how would the dinosaur reproduce? if it did have vrigin births then their'll be many lochness monsters. The lochness monster could be anything, there are even theories that Loch Ness is a secret submarine test facility and the the 'neck and head' of the monster are the periscope of the submarine. And the caves in loch ness could be a secret under water docking station for many secret submarines, it might of even been used to test the typhoon, who knows

Do Playing Violent Video Games Turn Their Players Violent?
csp4.0 replied to rayzoredge's topic in General Discussion
yes, becase like the peoplle that play violent computer games all the time doesn't seem violent at all, and yeah. Like what the above person said about smoking, if a person grew up surrounded by smokers, the person still decides whether he/she smokes -
i know, but i just moved to a new country and NO TABLES *sob sob* anyway, my harddrive on my current computer is 80GB, which is too small, but i do have a 120GB External-HDD availible. The reason I want to buy a new one is because for some reason i bought Supreme COmmander, and because I can't return it for a full refund I'm stuck with it and no I ain't selling it. Right now my budget went even lower AU$1200. Right now I'm trying to choose the computer at the uttermost minimum specs (but using a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield(US$289.99)). Any help in good graphics cards, alternative cpus to the kentsfield, and RAM? Ok, here is another issue, I have picked all the components on newegg.com only to find it ships only in the us, I kinda expected that anyway, but are there any reliable mail forwarders since the ones I've been looking at all seem a little dodgy. OK now i've decided not to buy from newegg even though i found a good reliable forwarder (ishopusa) but i'll be buying from a component store in AUS since the delivery fees will make buying direct from the US obsolete. Anyway the computer im making will have a Kentsfield processor, ok here is the question should I buy a nVidia GeForce 8800GTS 640MB OC'ed or buy a 2 lesser cards in SLI mode? cost is bascically the same Now another question, I need help in choosing a PSU, I've decided to buy a 8800GTS and it needs a minimum of 400W I'm also having a kentsfield and 2 GB of corsair RAM with a SATA 7200RPM HDD will a 730W Hiper PSU be enough or will I need one with more watts or one the is more reliable?
