I intend to buy counter strike 2 but I need a few info from experienced users before plunging to save some effort.
My configuration is
P4 (2.4 Ghz)
Graphic Card (creative GForce 2 unltra, old)
Ram 512MB
With a low graphic config, can i get the best of it when playing CS2? I heard from friends that CS2 needs a relatively high graphic card and cpu.
Ok dude this is what you do, you go out an you buy the game. cuz it is the best in the whole wide world. HL2 pc gamer rated it #1 in the world. thats gotta be saying something. you computer is fine, mine is worse and it runs CSS at 50 fps and or higher, all you need to remembers is to juice up the Hz on that monitor of yours. other than that go play css it's the best.-Jynx-

Dude if counter strike is really that boring to you, mabey you should just go outside and get some fresh air for once in your life. Then get a job, get a girlfriend, get some money, buy some toys. Like dirtbike a g5 for webdesigning w/e you can think of. if your really that bored of cs then stop playing it. don't whine, nobody likes a whiner.

Counter-Strike: Source is the top most unriveled games in the history of computers. To say that Source is anything less than perfect, you would have to be one retarted rabbit name efrum. Like the one off family guy -aka- bugs bunny. Yeah sure there are some mishaps in Source like the barels not being solid. Which is probably the only thing i can think of. Besides when the servers mess up and you can see through walls. Other then that. Source is perfect and if anyone has anything bad to say about it. Like i said in my last post on this thread. If you can't respect the game then dont waste your money buying it. All your doing is pissing other people who spent there hard earned money to play a game they thaught would be respected like they do. Don't cheat. and if you absolutely have to... then find a game you can cheat on for example... something that doesnt involved online play. Don't be a lame gamer. Make use of your time instead of scanning the net for cheatcodes. All this time you spend figuring out how to cheat. you could be using to actually get good at the game and play it fairly and kick everyone's *bottom*.-The Outlaws-

I will have to disagree with you on this one Outbreak. I guess it could be shown that some of the colors and playermodels are better than in 1.6. But to be quite honest again XBOX is capable of SOO MUCH MORE! This game was pretty much a waste of xBox ability. Valve should have been thinking when they made this edition to xbox. They would have known that xbox can render much more intense graphics and textures and should have taken advantage of it like they have done with Counter-Strike: Source. *BLEEP* move on Valve's part if you ask me. They were just to strung up on throwing together a ever so slightly different version of 1.6 solely for the person of marketing and bringing in some extra cash.

well i dont think we should judge whether cheating is good or bad... cause i mean some people prefer to cheat on their own time on their own game. It becomes an issue when it affects other people but if they cheat on their own, i dont think its such a big deal. i mean why would the game makers have put the cheats there in the first place. so ya online cheating is bad but cheating on your own is all up to them...
That is true and not so true, i will admit i do do some offline cheating when it comes to single player games but the fact that you said that the gamemakers wouldn't have put the cheats in there if they werent to be used is entirely wrong. Counter-Strike was never a game that was intended to be cheated, the gamemakers have nothing to do with the ammount of cheating software out there today. All the hacks and trainers used to cheat in Counter-Strike are 3rd party software that weren't intended by the gamemakers , but by the players who just don't get off with a cheatfree game. They need that superiority sensation. But i'm just making my point. The Gamemakers of Counter-Strike are not the ones who made the hacks and cheats, but it was 3rd party. Thank you and good'night

True that is one idea. But i beleive CS for Xbox in general would have been alot better if they hadn't have been so chincy. Xbox is a high quality graphic processor and could have definately rendered a much higher quality version of the game. Xbox is capable of CS: Source, i think they should have waited a few more months and released Source for xbox aroudn the time the PC release. And it would be much better online as well.

BEST NEW MAP! HL2 just released a new map which will be the new Default CS map instead of dust. Its call cs_compound. If you have source, go and play this new map because its awesome. There are windows from which the terrorists can snipe from but at the same time there is enough cover for the CT's to take out the snipers safely. This is a hostage rescue map and is a great team communication level.

woah i thought cs was pro for the last few years until i realised that there was a newer version so i bought it. man the graphics are leet. the fire actually looks like fire and the old guns hav been modelled and look more realistic than ever. even the sounds when changing weapons are cool. no ame can beat this one within another year
Pff. Condition Zero? honestly, sit down and thing about the graphics. THEY ARENT REALLY ANY BETTER!. maybe if your computer wasnt *BLEEP* and could handle 1.6's graphics you'd see a bit of a change but sheesh. And for the sounds, there is maybe one or two sound change in the weapon switching. Woop dee Doo for *BLEEP* new player models too. all they do is confuse the teams. If you really want a game where you see significant updates to 1.6 then Go to your local comp shop and buy HL2 and install CS: Source. Now there is a big change. Probly one of the biggest changes is the ammount of hackers that have been limited thanks to steams 24 hour hacker checking and account banning. If you love this game so much you'd spend some money on a better version.

I agree, seems like you must not be english. But still COUTNERSTRIKE ISNT A GAME FOR CHEATERS! How about you just sit on your *bottom* for a couple of hours and figure out how to click the mouse. Dont go Bag assin' around looking for hacks because all your going to cause is frustration in the game and risk your account beeing band, im not warning you though, i love seeing people like you get banned because it just makes our fun that much cleaner, getting rid of all the idiots who can't respect an online game. Just give up and find something new to have fun with.

I fully stand by that quote....It is very true that no game will ever beet Source with the next year. This is by far, hands down, the best Multiplayer action game in the world right now. I Love This Game. The guns beeing remodeled is just awesome and the textures of the water are jsut unbeleivable. They just released a new player model for the counter-terrorists and re textured and modeled the train map. its awesome. There is a new i guess "default" map for source now too, instead of de_dust, its wicked. But im just posting about pointless stuff now and ill leave you guys to read the rest of these. Keep on givin'er.

This is true, the basic CS maps are very good, My personal favourite...ill say it again, is still the Dust duo. (1 and 2) Simply because their simple and pefect team strategy maps.

It is true that source is a fast pace game and does need a fast connection. But maybe you should start thinking of your next computer based purchase to be maybe DSL or Cable internet provider. Again, HL2 does need a fast connection for online play, but to let you know, the bots in Source are alot more inteligent.

Its true, playing with bots in CS can get quite boring. But if you guys are most annoyed with the ammount of hacking that is going on in CS 1.6 then you need to go out and buy HL2 and enjoy Source. The hacking level is alot smaller in Source due to the fact that people spend the 60 bucks just to play CS Source properly, the reason hackers are so comon in older versions is because everyone was getting the game for free so they had to care for it. Go buy HL2 you'll seriously see a huge difference in the ammount of hackers in source. Its awesome.Happy Camping

NO not at all, the physics and graphics are all matched up, the ragdoll doesnt seem pointless at all, i think everything adds up to par and if you have an amazing g-card like X800pro or somethin crazy expensive there is no way you will be disapointed in the least

I Disagaree with that, i am running a RADEON All-In-Wonder 7500, only a 64mb card, my pc has 512mb DDR and only a 2.02ghz processor (P4) and i run CS Source without a hassle. It all depends on your ingame graphic settings

PC gamer says HL2 is the best game of the year 2005, they were right without a doubt. If you are new to the scene of cs or halflife. I would recomend that you buy hl2 and cs: source. Don't waste your time on good old 1.6. There is just no more fun in crappy 1998 games.
